The Suzuki Gixxer Fi is undoubtedly one of the most amazing motorcycles in the 160 cc segment in the Philippines market. It is known for its smooth power delivery from the engine and the best-in-class refinement.
The Suzuki Gixxer has made a name for itself in every country it is sold in as being a very fun-to-ride motorcycle and is the perfect beginner-friendly model for the youngsters. It is not the most powerful bike in the segment, but truly makes every horsepower count with its refinement and throttle response.
In the domestic market, it goes up against the likes of the Yamaha FZi and the Kawasaki Rouser NS160. It is very competitively priced with a starting figure of PHP 92,000.
The Suzuki Gixxer Fi is one of the most sculpted naked street models in the low displacement segment and has a very comfortable ergonomics. The single piece handlebar is not very broad and makes filtering through the traffic very easy. The fully-digital instrument panel is very informative and includes the digitalised tachometer.
The motorcycle runs on 17-inch wheels that are wrapped with thick tyres (100 mm for the front and 140 mm for the rear, to be precise). It is an apt motorcycle for tall riders as well, despite having a low seat height of just 780 mm. This has been made possible due to the relaxed knee angle on the centre-set foot pegs and the contour on the fuel tank area.
It gets the standard suspension setup with telescopic forks for the front and swingarm monoshock for the rear end. However, one thing that would stand out is the chrome embellished dual tip exhaust pipe that has a throaty sound.
The Suzuki Gixxer is that one motorcycle in the sub-160 cc segment that is known to be extremely fun-to-ride. The refinement level of the motorcycle is on the higher side and the low-end punch is just irresistible.
To get deeper into the performance, the high amount of low-end punch makes for an amazing throttle response. However, the motorcycle clearly lacks a high range on the tachometer. The moment you hit the triple-digit figure on the top gear, the lack of the top-end power comes to the fore and the rider may feel a lot of vibrations.
Other physical bits also help in offering an amazing riding dynamics where the rider holds to a very upright stance and makes use of an amazing suspension setup that is neither very hard not too soft. It helps on the practical riding in the city as well as hugging the corners without being unstable.
The Suzuki Gixxer Fi is known for its extremely refined engine, if not the most powerful one. The 154.9cc single-cylinder engine has a two-valve setup and can make a maximum power of 13.95 hp at 8,000 rpm along with a peak torque of 14 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The engine does not require to be revved very hard to get to the maximum power band.
The engine has the FI (fuel injection) fuel delivery system along with an air-cooler technology. The produced power is channelled to the wheel via a 5-speed gearbox.
The Suzuki Gixxer Fi is given a good set of disc brakes. The single disc brakes for both the wheels have a good stopping power with an amazing bite. However, progressive braking is a little on the inferior side.
The motorcycle has a very low seat height of 780 mm, which makes it very comfortable for all type of riders. Moreover, the overall kerb weight is on the lower side at 135 kilograms dry, making it very flickable in busy traffic. However, with the very low weight, stability at high speeds comes under scrutiny.
The Suzuki Gixxer Fi is one of the best options in the low displacement naked streetfighter segment. It faces the Yamaha FZi fair and square with similar power figures and dimensions but is much more affordable.
However, the Kawasaki Rouser NS160 is a more powerful model but comes at a smaller price ask.
Your overall riding experience on this bike can be super exciting and comfortable . Go for a long ride on this and come back with a memorable experience. The bike looks stunning also. The comfort aspect of the bike can stun its riders with ease too. The smooth sound will relax you to the core while you plan for long
I have always been a fan of Suzuki bikes because of the kind of refinement the engine offers. And in the same line, the Suzuki Gixxer FI is the best 150cc naked street motorcycle. I have one for over a year now and there is not a single thing that I dislike in it. The engine has a great low-end
Being a city dweller always I have a standard choice when it comes to vehicles even. I always prefer to go for stylish bikes or cars and that is apt for tech savvy urban sleek youngsters like me. Thus, after exploring many options that are available in market, I decided to go for Suzuki Gixxer FI. One of the alluring
I’m a biker for years now and have always had the craze for the smooth and powerful engine build. The Gixxer by Suzuki definitely seems to promise a more than dynamic ride what with its 155CC Engine that is also geared with SEP Technology. The LED Tail lamp in the back gives it an Alien-like look that appeals to me.
I have always wanted to purchase a bike since childhood. My father told me he would get one after I pass high school. I got decent marks in college and it was time to purchase a bike. I got decent marks in my school and asked him to get me one. He asked me to choose any one which I
