In terms of dimensions, the Suzuki DR-Z4SM measures 2,195 mm in length, 885 mm in width, 1,190 mm in overall height, and 890 mm in seat height. This supermoto also comes with a wheelbase of 1,465 mm and a ground clearance of 260 mm.

This supermoto features a new rigid steel frame designed to effectively handle rough surfaces. Upfront, it has a sporty-looking facade, accentuated by a sharp beak and a curved fairing. Its front end is illuminated by an LED mono-eye headlight assembly with a position lamp.

While its full LCD instrument panel still lacks a tachometer, it now displays the fuel gauge and the settings for the respective onboard systems. The rider gets a wide, tapered aluminum handlebar with switches, along with a dual straight seat that could use a bit more cushioning and width for longer trips. On the plus side, this motorbike comes with sturdy footpegs, which improve the rider’s experience when filtering through traffic or navigating trails. For convenience, it also has a lockable side-mounted toolbox. 

Going back to the design, its silhouette displays a stylish contrast of colours. Its sharp fairings are complemented by its bright body paint and sporty branding decals. This supermoto runs on 17-inch spoked wheels wrapped in tube-type tyres. 

Meanwhile, its back end is illuminated by an LED rear combination light, which adds a modern flare to its overall appearance. It comes mated to a 5-speed constant mesh (manual) transmission gearbox. You can adjust its engine’s power delivery depending on your riding situation, thanks to its Suzuki Drive Mode Selector. Like its dual-sport sibling, the DR-Z4SM is also equipped with Suzuki’s Gravel mode.

This supermoto delivers a satisfying pull off the line. It is enthusiastic yet non-intimidating at the same time. It is a respectable high-speed cruiser on both the track and highway, but it would have felt more refined and capable with a sixth gear. Still, its transmission system is smooth, as it is supported by Suzuki’s Clutch Assist System. And, most importantly, it offers excellent fuel economy whether you are cruising spiritedly or filtering through traffic at low speeds, thanks to its fuel injection system.

The Suzuki DR-Z4SM comes with front and rear disc brakes. Its braking setup is supported by an anti-lock braking system with an off mode for its rear. It also features Suzuki’s Intelligent Ride System that offers various electronic rider aids such as Suzuki’s Traction Control System with Gravel mode and the aforementioned Suzuki Drive Mode Selector, among others.
