Vespa Sei Giorni 300 Design
Compared to the rest of the models in the Vespa lineup, the Vespa Sei Giorni 300 Edition has motorsport-inspired details and tweaks, which make it look sportier and distinctive over other variants. The Vespa Sei Giorni 300 Edition seeks its design inspiration from the Vespa scooter that participated in the 1951 edition of the Sei Gioerni Internazionale event in Italy. In this event, the Vespa scooter won nine gold medals, and the modern-day Vespa Sei Giorni 300 Edition is inspired by that very model in terms of design.
The Vespa Sei Giorni 300 Edition is one of the few models in the history of Vespa that comes with a fender-mounted headlamp, rather than a conventional headlamp placed in the handlebar cowl. The Vespa Sei Giorni 300 Edition has a rounded headlamp placed on the front fender within a body-coloured rounded cowl. The handlebar cowl looks functional and compact, and instead of a headlamp, it gets a tall and transparent windscreen with an exposed metallic tube handlebar behind it.
The front apron has been shared with the standard Vespa 300 model, which has a curved design and comes with tiny trapezoidal housings for the clear lens LED turn indicators on the sides and a vertical nose-shaped panel which includes tiny air vents at the bottom. The front apron here has chrome surrounds that flow towards the back edge of the floorboard, giving an elegant touch to the overall design.
Like any other traditional Vespa model, the new Vespa Sei Giorni 300 Edition also has a split floorboard with a central tunnel and round-themed side panels. With horizontally stacked vents for cooling the engine, the side body panels also have numerical logos and turn indicators on the rear sides. The Vespa Sei Giorni 300 Edition also gets a unique single long seat, with a hump at the back which tapers down towards the tail section.
The rear profile of the Vespa Sei Giorni 300 Edition has a large trapezoidal tail lamp, which gets chrome surrounds. Behind the front apron, this Vespa scooter also gets a lockable storage compartment, an open storage bin on the side and a tow hook. The instrument console of the Vespa Sei Giorni 300 Edition also has a classy appearance with retro-inspired fonts and layout. In addition, the scooter also comes with chrome rounded rearview mirrors and silver-finished brake levers and handlebar ends.
Sei Giorni 300 Ride & Handling
Along with the engine, the Vespa Sei Giorni 300 Edition also shares the rest of the mechanical setup, including the chassis, suspension, brakes and tyres, with the standard Vespa 300. Based on a unique monocoque frame, the Vespa Sei Giorni 300 Edition has a suspension setup of a single arm with a helical spring and hydraulic shock absorber at the front and a double hydraulic shock absorber with helical spring with preload adjustable in 4 positions at the rear. With 220mm disc brakes at both ends, the Vespa Sei Giorni 300 Edition rides on a 120/70-12 tyre at the front and a 130/70-12 tyre at the rear.
Vespa Sei Giorni 300 Engine & Fuel Consumption
The Vespa Sei Giorni 300 Edition is powered by the same single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, 278.3cc engine which powers the rest of the iterations of the Vespa 300 model. Paired with a V-belt automatic transmission, the engine produces a maximum power output of 24 PS and a maximum torque output of 25.9 Nm.
Sei Giorni 300 Braking & Safety
The Vespa Sei Giorni 300 Edition has been equipped with a dual-channel ABS as the only new-age safety feature.
Vespa Sei Giorni 300 Verdict
The Vespa Sei Giorni 300 Edition raises the bars of exclusivity even higher with its distinctive visual appeal, which makes the already special-looking Vespa 300 even more nostalgic and sporty.
