Yamaha YZF-R1 Design

The design of the Yamaha YZF R1 is the reason behind its growing popularity in the Philippine market. The YZF-wind tunnel-tested R1's skin has a terrific appearance but leaves a little more of the engine visible than is typical of supersport-level machines. It's designed to be as low-profile as possible, as any excellent racebike should be, but the factory takes advantage of the ram-air effect to achieve more volumetric efficiency than a naturally aspirated engine.

The turn signals are incorporated with the mirrors, so they don't create any unnecessary drag. Tiny LED headlamps take care of business from their discreet little niches at the top of the cowling scoop. It provides a prolific racing experience. It has a carbon-fibre bodywork coupled with magnesium. Overall, the design quality is flamboyant.

YZF-R1 Ride & Handling

The Yamaha YZF R1 provides an unparalleled ride experience. The incredible suspension and the marvelous handling quality make this beauty one of the most desirable rides in not only the Philippines but all of Europe. The quick shift feature provided in this fascinating ride helps the rider in shifting both up and down the range. This beast has also been provided with Wheel-lift control. The motorcycle is also equipped with several riding modes that elevate the ride quality. All these features make this bike quite easy to ride.

Yamaha YZF-R1 Engine & Fuel Consumption

The Yamaha YZF R1 is powered by a mighty 998 cc 4-stroke liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that gives the rider the power to go beyond the line. It can achieve an incredible top speed of 186 mph. The engine also features the exclusive cross-plane crankshaft technology derived from the latest racing bikes designed by Yamaha. This technology aims to equalize inertial forces and produce incredible torque. It is with the help of this technology that this beautiful ride obtains an incredible torque of about 112 Nm. The power obtained is around 200 hp.

Yamaha's precise fracture-split technology is used on titanium connecting rods to achieve the greatest dependability with the lowest weight. These lightweight elements, when combined with titanium intake valves and forged pistons, allow this ride to reach its high redline and over-rev potential. Because the cylinder block is displaced from the crankshaft, friction loads on the pistons and bores are reduced. The intake system is also quite prolific and the same goes for the exhaust system. The throttle-control is also quite fascinating.

YZF-R1 Braking & Safety

The Yamaha YZF R1 features Yamaha's brake control system that is coupled with an Anti-locking braking system to minimize any sort of brake slip in the case of emergency braking. The braking system includes 329 mm 4-piston radial-mounted front calipers along with a 220 mm rear disc with a compact floating caliper.

This bewitching ride also adorns a number of premium safety features like traction control, pass switch, slipper clutch, immobilizer, an alarm system, and much more. All these factors improve the quality of the ride.

Yamaha YZF-R1 Verdict

The Yamaha YZF R1 easily overpowers all the other vehicles in its class with its spectacular design and reliable features. It will definitely provide the rider with the best experience on any sort of road. This ride performs dynamically in every parameter. This is the reason behind its increasing popularity.
