2019 Lexus RC 350 launched in the Philippines

MANILA: Lexus Philippines has launched the two-door coupe, the RC 350 in the country. Earlier in the year, the car had been showcased at the 2018 Paris Motor Show. This new model gets LC-inspired modifications and the driving dynamics are improved too. It has been given a price tag of Php 3,898,000.

The Lexus RC 350 is equipped with a 3.5-litre DOHC V6 engine, which is capable of pumping out a maximum of 321 PS of power and a peak torque of 380 Nm. It is paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 6.3 seconds and can also achieve a top speed of 230 kmph.

The two-door coupe has three driving modes - Normal, Sport and Eco. The exhaust system is unique and roars a bit during heavy acceleration. The suspension setup is a little bit on the stiffer side. This, along with this new shock absorbers, makes the riding and handling comfortable.

The 2019 Lexus RC 350 has some similarities with the outgoing model. The signature spindle front grille and the LED headlights (with LED DRLs) get a new design and look quite sharp. The front bumper also gets some modification.

Speaking of the rear profile, a restyled LED taillights get the L-shape design. And to look sportier, the coupe is equipped with air ducts mounted on reshaped exhaust finishers and rear bumper. The vehicle rides on 18-inch alloy wheels which get 235/45 tyres.

Inside the car, some small changes and modifications have been done. It gets a smaller steering wheel that adds a sportier feel, and the leather seats make the driving experience more comfortable. At the centre of the dash, there is a perfectly placed 10.3-inch infotainment system.

The 2019 Lexus RC 350 gets a host of safety features including BA (Brake Assist), reverse cameras having front and rear parking sensors, eight airbags and vehicle stability control with traction control. Apart from these, the braking of the car is further improved by ABS with EBD (electronic brakeforce distribution).
