Cavitex C5 Link implements toll rate adjustment

MANILA: Cavitex Infrastructure Corporation (CIC) and joint venture partner Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA) have received a Notice to Start Collection from the Toll Regulatory Board for the Cavitex C5 Link.

With this, the Cavitex C5 Link has started charging the following provisional toll rates yesterday: P35 for Class 1 vehicles, P69 for Class 2 vehicles, and P104 for Class 3 vehicles.

The length of the operational segment of the expressway was extended by 1.6 km with the opening of Segment 3.2, also known as the Cavitex C5 Link flyover extension, on August 14. This allowed for more convenient access and reduced travel times from Merville, Parañaque to C5 Road in Taguig, and vice versa.

Aside from implementing new traffic schemes in the area to manage traffic, Cavitex management opened a new Merville Exit Ramp in October to serve motorists who are heading that way.

The entire Cavitex C5 Link will span a total of 7.7km. It will be connected to Cavitex in 2023.  This will benefit motorists going from Cavitex to Makati, Taguig, and Pasay, and vice versa, by cutting their travel time by 30 to 45 minutes. This project also relieves congestion on major thoroughfares like EDSA, MIA Road, etc.
