Easytrip RFID now boasts 50,000 reloading stations

MANILA: Easytrip RFID, which enables cashless transactions in the Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) network of toll roads, currently provides over 50,000 reloading stations in Luzon. This allows convenient reloading for its more than two million subscribers.

Motorists can now reload their account real time through the following leading stores:

• SM Business Service Center
• Robinsons Business Center
• 7-11 stores (Cliqq machine)
• M Lhuilier
• Villarica
• Pera Hub
• LBC
• TouchPay
• EC Pay
• Smart Padala
• USSC
• Cebuana
• Bayad Center
• Possible Stores

MPTC Chief Technology Officer and President and General Manager of Metro Pacific Tollways South (MPT South) Roberto V. Bontia explained, "Reloading is made convenient with all these accessible establishments all over Metro Manila and Luzon. We have partnered with them to make reloading stations easy to find and encourage all expressway users to keep their accounts updated to ensure ease of passage through our toll plazas."

Apart from physically going to establishments to reload, subscribers also have the alternative of reloading through the internet via online partners of Easytrip such as coins.ph, Bayad Center App (Bayad), EON, Paymaya, and Gcash; Justpay that also credits real-time; and through banks like  BPI, UCPB, BDO, and Metrobank (BancNet, Mastercard, or Visa). The convenience fees of the mentioned options may differ. 

Moreover, apart from the RFID sticker installation, customer service sites at different entry points and before exits of toll roads also provide reloading services. 

Bontia added, "We are aware that motorists have different behaviors when transacting, some prefer going to physical stores or their banks, while others prefer doing it online. With this in mind, we make sure that we cater to everyone's level of comfort in keeping their account up to date."

The interoperability of Easytrip RFID spans across the MPTC toll road network: Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX), Cavite-C5 Link Expressway, Manila- Cavite Expressway (Cavitex), Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX), and North Luzon Expressway (NLEX).
