FAWCAR Joyee set for PH market on Oct. 22

MANILA: In a bid to expand its reach, FAWCAR will introduce the Joyee new-energy vehicle sub-brand to the Philippines this week.

In a statement, Multifortune Motors Incorporated shared that for the launch on October 22, the Chinese marque is set to bring a “new, all-scenario family mobility experience to Filipino consumers.”

“With over 65 million vehicles produced and sold, FAW has built decades of experience in automotive manufacturing. As FAW’s global mobility brand, FAWCAR inherits FAW Group’s more than 70 years of automotive expertise and technological innovation,” the firm noted.

“Together, they form a comprehensive powertrain portfolio covering fuel, pure electric, and hybrid technologies, with cumulative production and sales exceeding 2.2 million units,” the firm added.

Additionally, the company views the launch as a significant milestone in FAWCAR’s “long-term development in the Philippine market” and an important step in the brand’s global expansion.

The incoming brand will make its Philippine debut with three models:

• Joyee S04
• Joyee S08
• Joyee N09

Multifortune Motors Incorporated stated that the three models are positioned across key family vehicle segments. “With a strong combination of design, technology, efficiency, and practicality, the lineup aims to offer a new choice for Philippine families.”

The distributor also noted that FAWCAR has been “deeply engaged in the Philippine market for years, optimizing its products to adapt to local conditions—including high temperatures, heavy rainfall, urban congestion, and diverse road environments.”

Through comprehensive localization improvements, FAWCAR aims to deliver reliable quality, strong performance, and thoughtful features tailored to Filipino consumers’ daily commutes, family trips, and long-distance cross-island journeys.

Here is what customers can expect from FAWCAR Joyee’s upcoming vehicles. 

JOYEE S04   

Joyee’s global debut model, the S04, is a battery-electric SUV designed for urban commuting and weekend getaways. 

Among the key features of the Joyee S04 are:

• 0.248 Cd ultra-low drag coefficient
• Panoramic glass roof with heat insulation
• High-polymer carbon nano-coated battery technology

With a claimed range of 565 kilometers (km), the vehicle features a pure-electric powertrain with an energy consumption rating of 11.8 kilowatt-hours per 100 km. It also has a wheelbase of 2,750 millimeters.

Additionally, the Joyee S04 features a high-strength steel body structure and ultra-high-strength door anti-collision beams.

JOYEE S08

According to the brand’s distributor, the Joyee S08 has already received numerous recognitions for its engine, hybrid platform, body structure, and chassis.  

Powering the vehicle is a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine specifically developed for hybrid applications, featuring advanced thermal efficiency. This configuration delivers the following figures:

JOYEE N09  

Available with either a pure-electric or range-extended powertrain, the Joyee N09 will serve as the premium highlight of the brand’s Philippine debut.

Positioned as a B+ segment flagship coupe, the model boasts six core advantages in its segment. 

Its features include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P intelligent cockpit platform, a 23-speaker Dolby Atmos immersive audio system, frameless power doors, and nine airbags.

Additionally, the vehicle features an 800-volt high-voltage platform, 6C ultra-fast charging capability, and a powertrain that enables it to accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in 6.4 seconds.
