MIAS 2024: Tuason Racing launches Gulf Oil Top Driver Challenge

MANILA: Tuason Racing has launched the Gulf Oil: Top Driver Challenge. The competition will start tomorrow at the ongoing Manila International Auto Show 2024 to be held at SMX Convention Center.  

According to Tuason Racing, the event finishes in a highly coveted opportunity to join the Tuason Racing team and join a Le Mans style race.

After the first part of the contest, a karting challenge will be conducted on April 27, followed by a basic racing class challenge at Clark International Speedway (CIS), and will be rounded up by a final round at the Clark International Speedway (dates yet to be announced).

Under the Top Driver Challenge survival competition, participants need to overcome a series of challenges designed to test their driving skill, adaptability, and endurance in the most demanding conditions — from simulators trial to basic racing training.

"This competition is not just about speed – it's about strategy, endurance, and the ability to thrive under pressure. The ultimate prize awaits the driver who can prove themselves worthy of the title of Top Driver," Tuason Racing Vice President for Operations Aileen Santos said.

Gulf Oil Philippines General Manager Michael Francisco expressed delight over the collaboration. “We are truly excited to have partnered up with Tuason Racing and witness this exciting competition to know who will remain victorious to represent the brand.”

Those who want to join the Top Driver Challenge may register now. A fee of P10,000 must be settled first to have the opportunity to be part of Tuason Racing working team and of course, a slot to join the TRS racing team for a local endurance race.

Aside from the survival competition, the Top Driver Challenge Esports is being conducted at the four-day motoring event at the TRS x Monza booth. For P300, visitors can play one session for the qualifying round — starting from 3 p.m. yesterday to 9 p.m. on Saturday.

To qualify for the knockout round, the participant must be among the top three fastest competitors of the day. A total of 9 participants will be qualified to join the knockout round session on Sunday.

For P300, you get to be the ESports Champion of Top Driver Challenge, and of course, you will also get amazing prizes from our partner brands.
