Shell celebrates 110th anniversary in PH

MANILA: Shell Pilipinas has recently celebrated its 11 decades in the country.

In a statement, the company said aside from being a fuel provider over the years, it also has “taken an active role in energizing Filipino lives” via innovative products and services, good governance, and relevant social development programs.

Throughout the year, Shell Pilipinas will conduct various activities that affirm the brand’s commitment to be Filipinos’ “Kasabay sa Pagsulong” (Moving forward, together).

To kick off the milestone year, the firm gathered its company’s current and former leaders to highlight its dedication to powering progress in the Philippines.

The firm noted that since it began in 1914 to its present-day leadership in the energy industry, Shell has been driven by a spirit of innovation and a deep-rooted commitment to empowering Filipino lives. 

"For and beyond our 110th, we'll continue to uphold our purpose which is to provide energy that empowers Filipinos.” Shell Country Chair in the Philippines Lorelie Quiambao-Osial said.

From being a local oil player, Shell follows the transition by establishing the Shell Energy business and continues to embrace innovation with mobility initiatives like Site of the Future, carbon offsetting and Shell Recharge, demonstrating its commitment to adapt and lead the way towards a sustainable future.

“‘Kasabay mo sa Pagsulong’ signifies Shell’s commitment to partner with the Filipino people for the next 100 years and beyond,” Shell Pilipinas noted.

Osial also emphasized the importance of recognizing and building upon the foundation laid by past generations, “As we celebrate our 110th year, we honor those who paved the way and continue to be ambassadors of Shell's values, driving progress and innovation in the years to come."
