Recent Updates of Dongfeng Rich 6 EV
Chinese automaker Dongfeng is targeting to introduce affordable all-electric vehicles in Asia-Pacific markets. The Rich 6 EV is a dual-cab pickup truck that boasts low running costs. The Rich 6 EV is based on the third-generation Nisssan Navara and retains most of its features. The pickup is hauled by a single rear-mounted electric motor that produces 163 PS/420 Nm. The motor is connected to a 60kW lithium-ion-phosphate battery. The truck has a claimed mileage of 350 km on a single recharge. The car has a functional cabin with faux-leather seats, a digital instrument panel, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment, and automatic climate control. The price of the Dongfeng Rich 6 EV starts at ₱2.76 million.

The official importer of Dongfeng vehicles from China in the Philippines, Diamond Auto Grou, launched the all-electric version of the Dongfeng Rich 6 pickup truck in 2023. Based on the third-generation Nissan Navara with tweaked exterior and interior, the Dongfeng Rich 6 EV is the first-ever all-electric pickup truck from the Chinese automaker Dongfeng. In the Philippines, the Dongfeng Rich 6 EV is being offered in two variants – EV 350 and EV 450, both of which differ based on the battery packs offered in them. The price of the Dongfeng Rich 6 EV starts at PHP 2.76 million.
Dongfeng Rich 6 EV Verdict
The Dongfeng Rich 6 EV comes across as a decent family-oriented pickup truck with adequate features and range offered by both battery packs for the price at which they are available. However, in terms of fit and finish levels and long-term reliability, it still has a long way to go against other global products in the same price range.
