Upon entering the Ferrari 12Cilindri, you are greeted by a high-tech cabin that feels very performance-oriented. Its cabin comes with Ferrari’s new Human Machine Interface (HMI), which consists of three displays. Both the driver and the co-pilot have access to a central 10.25-inch touchscreen capacitive display that offers Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth connectivity among others. The Ferrari 12Cilindri’s design displays a beautiful combination of hypermodern design cues and classic-looking features that pay homage to Ferrari models of the past. It features sharp LED headlamps that are integrated into a polycarbonate wraparound band finished in black, which resembles the Ferrari 365 Daytona’s. Underneath the headlamps are LED DRL strips that magnificently emerge like blades. It also flaunts a beautiful front-hinged clamshell bonnet, which completes the look of its facade. 

Its side profile strikes a balance between aggression and sophistication, which is enhanced by a blend of sharp lines and sweeping curves. Admittedly, I wouldn’t recommend driving this on Metro Manila’s unpleasant city roads because of its low ground clearance. But, to be fair, this car is built to be driven on the race track and on smooth, paved suburban roads. 

The Ferrari 12Cilindri is powered by a 6.5L V12 engine that delivers a maximum power output of 830 cv (819 hp) at 9250 rpm and a maximum torque of 678 Nm at 7250 rpm. This super grand tourer comes mated to an 8-speed F1 dual-clutch transmission system and utilizes a rear-wheel drivetrain. It has a maximum speed of over 340 kmph and can go from 0 to 100 kmph in just 2.9 seconds.

This super grand tourer is lightning swift off the line. Its V12 engine produces a magnificent roar as you go up the rev range. It just makes light work of quick overtakes on free-flowing expressways. Meanwhile, at low speeds, it feels smooth and refined, showing its true grand tourer identity. 

In terms of safety, the 12Cilindri is equipped with Ferrari’s ABS Evo, Performance ABS, and Side Slip Control (SSC), along with a 6D sensor, side impact beams, front collision mitigation, electronic stability control, traction control, emergency SOS capability, driver and passenger front and door-mounted side airbags, and adaptive cruise control among others. This super grand tourer utilizes ventilated discs for both front and rear braking.
