Ferrari 849 Testarossa

Upon entering the Ferrari 849 Testarossa, you are greeted by a high-tech cabin, which looks very luxurious and driver-centric at the same time. Its cabin has adequate headroom and legroom for both the driver and the co-pilot, while its front trunk (frunk) offers 74 liters of cargo capacity. Additionally, its sports seats offer respectable comfort and support, by supercar standards. 

Up front, the driver has access to a 16-inch digital display, which functions as both the instrument panel and the car’s entire infotainment screen (HMI), while the co-pilot also gets his or her own 9-inch passenger display. Physical controls are incorporated into the driver’s steering wheel. The 849 Testarossa’s new-generation HMI (Human-Machine Interface) is equipped with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth connectivity, and is linked to a standard 7-speaker sound system. For added convenience, this supercar also comes with a wireless charger.

For starters, the Ferrari 849 Testarossa measures 4,718 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,225 mm in height. This plug-in hybrid supercar also comes with a 2,650-mm wheelbase.

The 849 Testarossa features a sharp, aerodynamic design that strikes a balance between modern styling and classic Ferrari design cues, with lines and visual elements inspired by the Prancing Horse’s sporty prototypes of the 1970s. This hybrid supercar flaunts a ‘bridge-like’ fascia that links its hypermodern-looking geometric LED headlamps. It features a sharp bumper with functional airflow ducts.

From the side, the 849 Testarossa’s profile is defined by a combination of sharp edges and smooth, flowing proportions. Its elegant sculpted doors contribute to its overall aerodynamics on the road. This hybrid supercar is fitted with 20-inch forged wheels with aerodynamic spokes. 

Like the front end, its rear also looks very modern and aerodynamic, highlighted by its active wing, twin-tail exhausts, and a full-width diffuser. This hybrid supercar sports slim LED tail lights, which contribute to its distinctive appeal at night.

In terms of suspension, the Ferrari 849 Testarossa comes with unequal-length Control Arms at the front and a Multi-Link at the rear. The Ferrari 849 Testarossa is powered by a plug-in hybrid powertrain that combines a 4L twin-turbo V8 engine, which boasts 830 cv (819 hp) of maximum power and 842 Nm of maximum torque, with three electric motors. Combined, its plug-in hybrid powertrain delivers a total power output of 1,050 cv (1,036 hp). This supercar comes mated to Ferrari’s 8-speed F1 dual-clutch gearbox and utilizes an all-wheel drivetrain. It is also equipped with three selectable driving modes: Hybrid, Performance, and Qualify.

This supercar delivers exceptional power and speed both on the racetrack and out on the open road. The 849 Testarossa can go from 0 to 100 kmph in less than 2.3 seconds and can achieve a top speed of over 330 kmph. It is not only lightning-fast but also buttery smooth, thanks to its precise and responsive F1 DCT. 

The Ferrari 849 Testarossa is equipped with numerous advanced driver assistance systems, namely, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, and an automated emergency braking system. This hybrid supercar also comes with Ferrari’s Side Slip Control (SSC) 9.0, Dynamic Enhancer (FDE) 2.0, traction control, ABS EVO, as well as Performance EBD, among others. The 849 Testarossa is fitted with front and rear carbon-ceramic brakes.
