Propulsion amazes you, it excites you and when it comes to the unrivalled successors of this Italian automaker Ferrari, it just captivates your soul. The company is again out to redefine your desires with its another electrifying successor, Ferrari 458 Italia. The car is a two-seat berlinetta 458 that was showcased at the Frankfurt Motor Show on 15th September 2009. The car is one of the face of the original Ferrari 458, which is a mid-engined sports car that came as a replacement to the Ferrari F 430.

Interior & Features

The interior designers of the car have displayed a beautiful amalgamation of top class materials, and expert craftsmanship with the elegantly designed interiors of the car. The sportiness injected in the masterpiece doesn't restricts to its exteriors but flows in the interiors too with the features like the precisely responsive multifunctional sports steering and foot pedals and the exclusively designed and soul-intuitive infotainment system. The sitting comfort of the car is added by the body-hugging sports bucket seats that keeps you relaxed and intact at your place.

The air-slicing and solemnly aqueous design of the car correctly demonstrates the sports car spirit lying deep within its soul. Grace flows from the stretched dramatic bonnet with curvaceous bulges to the flowing and sporty rear of the car. The chisel-edge shaped front look is added functionality with the sharp Bi-Xenon headlights on the bulged wings and wide grille that holds the imposing Ferrari horse logo and reveals the dynamic power lurking behind them. Muscularity, aerodynamism and functionality plays hide and seek over the side profile and the rear body of the car to weave an enchanting blanket of sportiness. The super low and road-hugging wide look is a product of its precise dimensioning, that reads 4527mm x 1937mm x 1213mm (L x W x H).

Engine & Fuel Consumption

The ravishing berlinetta gulps down life given to it by the perfectly-engineered 4499cc V8 engine that is integrated with the efficient Ferrari Direct Fuel Injection technology that maintains efficient fuel combustion at high engine speeds. This engine drinks a concentrated doze of energy to generate a maximum power output of 570hp at 9000 rpm in collaboration with the 540Nm of maximum torque at 6000 rpm. This finely-refined power mill is meshed with the double clutch 7-speed F1 transmission, which features negligible gear transition time and in-coordination with the engine catapults the car with 100km/h of speed from naught in mere 3.4 seconds, that looks as enthralling as it really is. With all these mighty power and torque heights the car displays a fuel consumption value of 13.3 litres per 100km, which doesn't seems thirsty.

Braking Safety

With no compromises towards the safety of its occupants the coupe is encloses a fully-functional list of safety features. The Electronic Stability Control system encased to the coupe functions efficiently to prevent it from skidding and improves the dynamic balancing. The car is encased with Traction Control system and Adaptive suspension system that gives a stable and fast response. With this the car is equipped with front and rear parking sensors and rear cameras for additional safety. The efficient braking system encased to the car consists of Brembo Carbon Ceramic disc brakes with 6 pot aluminium callipers in the front and 4 pot aluminium callipers on the rear. These brakes are assisted by high performance Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Brake-force Distribution system.

Owing to its pumped-up dynamism, astonishing exterior styling and precisely calculated handling, the car impressively roars at its competitors. However, the tense interior space falls on the small side of the car.
