Ferrari 812 Superfast

The moment you enter this car you cannot help but notice the multi colored racing bucket seats. However, the downside to these seats is that they are manually operated, that means you don’t get electronically adjustable seats even after paying a hefty amount. Since Ferrari has stressed on making drive centric sports car, the steering wheel of the 812 comes equipped with all the necessary controls so as to give the driver a trouble-free ride. It is equipped with wiper control buttons, high-beam controls, driving mode controls, suspension controls, calling and media buttons and engine start/stop button. The gauge cluster is equipped with two screens on either side of the tachometer which can be controlled via circular dials. The screen on the left displays the different readings of the car while the screen on the right is meant for infotainment display. The passenger also gets his own small screen with a button to monitor the car or change the media tracks.

The 812 Superfast is a front-mid-engine, rear wheel drive grand tourer which is designed to offer speed and comfort. The front end of the 812 is graced with a very sporty and elegant look. The central portion of the bonnet is raised by two crease lines that run all the way down to the top of the grille. The air vents that are present adjacent to the headlights, have some unique design of their own. One more distinct features of this car are its turn lights. They comprise of six orange LED’s each, arranged in pairs of two, that looks very neat and classy while blinking. Even the door panels are characterized by beautiful lines that start from the top of the fender on the rear end and run down to the front wheels. The air vents behind these front wheels are designed to channel the high-pressure air along with the doors and provide stability to the Superfast. The rear end of the 812 looks stunning with four round taillights that have a thin rim of red encircling them whenever the headlights are turned on. The body-coloured rear diffuser placed between the exhausts looks astonishing. The trunk of this car has decent space but has an incredibly high lip thus making it quite taxing to load the luggage.

The dual-clutch transmission on this car is probably the swiftest transmission in this category. Race, Sport, and Wet are the available driving modes on this car that you can switch very easily. Even the steering on this car is precise as compared to the dimensions of the car, thus making the handling of the car very efficient.

The 812 Superfast boasts a naturally aspirated V12 engine that can generate a maximum power of 800 hp and 718 Nm. The massive power of the engine and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission can propel this car to a maximum speed of 340kmph.

Ferrari has equipped the 812 with many safety features. It has airbags for the driver and the passenger, ABS with electronic brakeforce distribution, Vehicle Stability, and Control System and traction control. It also has crash sensors, parking camera, and tyre pressure monitor for added safety.

At a price tag of Php 39.09 Million, the 812 Superfast proves to be very costly for a hatchback, but then we all know that Ferrari has striven hard to outperform themselves every time and deliver more speedy and high-performance sports cars to its customers. At the end you have a racing machine with all the comfort and luxury you can think of and a brand name like Ferrari and all you have to do is to decide whether to go that extra mile and get this beast in your garage or not.
