Ferrari F8 Tributo

The Ferrari F8 Tributo has one of the most purposeful looking interiors Ferrari has ever designed for its car. Naturally, the key area of focus has to be the driver’s seat here, with the entire cabin getting a host of upholstery and trim levels to choose from.

The large three-spoke multi-functional flat-bottom steering wheel is the same unit which is there in a number of other Ferraris. The three-segment instrument console with a centrally mounted tachometer and LCD panels on its adjacent sides is something which we have already seen in the Portofino.

The center console layout here is quite unique to the F8 Tributo, with a wraparound design for it housing buttons for the audio system and AC vents in it, and a control panel for the automatic climate control below it. As in all the modern Ferraris, there is a small touch-controlled panel for audio and instrument console sandwiched between two layers of the dashboard on the co-passenger side.

The Ferrari F8 Tributo is one of those models with which the Italian supercar maker has stepped up the game in the current scenario when it comes to styling aspects. The car is full of curves and mild creases, all of which combine to give a remarkable appearance to it.

The front profile of the Ferrari F8 Tributo looks very aggressive, with the front bumper having a partitioned theme for the grille. In the middle of the bumper is placed an air vent, which channels the forthcoming air towards another vent placed in the middle of the front bonnet, the latter of which is surrounded by prominent contours on its either side. Like in most of the modern Ferraris, the Ferrari F8 Tributo too has got sleek looking L-shaped LED headlamps, which do incorporate a thin strip of daytime running LED at their bottom.

The side profile of the Ferrari F8 Tributo looks even more captivating, with swooping curved flowing backwards. The rear wheel arches are wide in size and get air vents in a mesh pattern to facilitate dissipation of heat from the engine. The rounded roofline, long rearview mirrors and premium star-shaped alloys all work together to give the Ferrari F8 Tributo a spectacular profile.

At the back, the Ferrari F8 Tributo looks too extrovert with its massive rear windshield, which ends up in a large boot-mounted wing spoiler. On either end of the boot are placed around LED tail lamps, below which there are carbon fiber touches, which go well with the massive looking diffuser on the rear bumper.

The super-stiff independent double-wishbone setup at the front and independent multi-link at the rear of the Ferrari F8 Tributo get adaptive dampers and assistance of well-weighted steering, which allow the driver to enjoy the pure driving pleasure of stretching it to its limits. The ride quality naturally takes a hit, and is super firm and bouncy at low speeds, with the too-low ground clearance making it not so suitable for minor of the bumps and bad sections of roads.

The Ferrari F8 Tributo is bestowed with an all-new generation of 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine, which here is paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The engine, which has the power to catapult the F8 Tributo from 0 to 100 kmph in just 2.9 seconds, makes 720 PS of power and 770 Nm of torque. The claimed top speed of Ferrari F8 Tributo is 340 kmph.

The list of safety features in the Ferrari F8 Tributo is not too comprehensive, and the car gets basic essentials in the form of the front, side and curtain airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, electronic stability program and reverse camera.
