Yamaha XSR155

The Yamaha XSR155 gets a number of classic retro styling elements. The round headlight gets built-in daytime running lights (DRLs). The bike gets all-around LED lighting. The light output is solid but may be slightly diffused compared to projector styles. There are matching round taillights under the seat, along with slim turn signals that merge into the design. The bike gets a minimalist muck guard, a hex-bolted headlamp bracket, and a sculpted exhaust guard. The fuel tank gets a retro-styled teardrop silhouette with a heritage filler cap and knee recesses. The bike is available in multiple color options. But some colors may feel like plastic under closer inspection. There’s round, digital instrument pod that shows speed, tachometer, gear position, fuel, trip meter, clock, consumption readouts, and low-fuel/oil warnings. The clutch is feather-light, along with simple switchgear, and a soft lever. But the bike lacks antilock braking and hazard lights. The bike gets brushed-aluminium tank strip, bar ends, headlamp mounts, and foot pegs, along with a billet-style engine/heat shield interplay function with authenticity. The minimal belly guard and lattice-style sump shields enhance visual appeal.

The Yamaha XSR155 gets: upside-down (USD) telescopic front forks and a monoshock absorber with preload adjustability at the back. The USD forks provide superb front-end rigidity and damping, particularly while cornering or navigating uneven tarmac. It absorbs small potholes and road undulations reasonably well. For city riding, the front suspension setup ensures smooth feedback and stability over speed bumps and patched surfaces. The Yamaha XSR155 gets 282mm hydraulic disc brake with a dual-piston calliper in the front. At the back, it gets a 220mm disc brake with a single-piston calliper. The braking system is more tuned for stability than sharp braking. It’s ideal for modulating in traffic or slight braking on wet roads. The motorcycle is equipped with single-channel antilock braking (front only). It’s basic but a welcome safety feature.
