KTM RC 200

KTM RC 200 features sharp design with a tapered and angular fairing that looks alluring from the outside and attracts the onlooker at the first glance. Apart from this, the bike is gifted with digital LCD instrument panel that displays information regarding speedometers, fuel and temperature gauges, tachometers, trip meter and additional data like fuel consumption and average speeds. The updated RC 200 gets higher seating position that may be a point of concern for a number of riders while the wider rear view mirrors give an unobstructed view.

Unlike the RX390, the RC 200 misses the adjustable levers and a side mounted exhaust and the white under seat panel now gets ‘RC 200’ badging that goes well with the overall fairing. The overall design scheme hasn’t changed and is similar to the outgoing version.

The KTM RC 200 is equipped with a powerful engine of 199.5cc, four strokes, liquid cooled, a single cylinder that churns out maximum power of 25 hp at 10,000 rpm and a peak torque of 19.2 Nm at 8,000 rpm. Apart from that the bike is equipped with smooth 6-speed claw shifted transmission. The gear shifting is short and the rider gets on the third one in no time. But when you compare the engine response with that of the RC390, you will find that the bike is quite slow. However, this does not mean that the bike is any less maniac; a rider clocks 130 kmph mark in no time.

KTM RC 200 is configured with advanced ABS technology that ensures safety on any road conditions. Besides, it also has 17-inch light alloy wheels that offer excellent grip on the road and prevent the vehicle from skidding. The bike is gifted with an effective braking system that gives the rider total control over the motorcycle. It has been fitted with a single 300mm disc brake at the front and a single piston floating caliper with 230mm disc brake at its rear. The bike is fitted with an impressive quality of upside-down WP sourced suspension setup of 43 mm inverted USD telescopic forks at front and a rear mono shock that offers superb ride quality to the rider as well as to the pillion. To offer wider traction and proper grip, the bike features 110/70-17 front tyre and 150/60-17 rear tyre. The tyres offer ample grip and visual appeal. The WP sourced suspension setup performs equally well for the city and highway conditions and offers outstanding stability to the rider.
