ACMobility, IDI donate Isuzu Water Tanker to PH Red Cross

MANILA: ACMobility and Iconic Dealership Incorporation (IDI)—through Isuzu Pasig branch—donated a water tanker to the Philippine Red Cross (PRC).

In a statement, Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) noted that the delivered vehicle reinforces the “shared commitment to disaster preparedness and humanitarian response.”

ACMobility Chief Executive Officer Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala—who led the turnover ceremony—expressed confidence in Isuzu trucks, saying that they aside from being commercial vehicles, they can also serve as mobile lifelines.

“In times of crisis, the durability, reliability, and power that Isuzu builds into every one of its vehicles gives the Philippine Red Cross the strength to push through,” he explained.

On the other hand, PRC Chairman Richard Gordon noted the organization’s appreciation for the partnership and highlighted the importance of collaborations in strengthening humanitarian Isuzu FVR34 Q truck response efforts.

“Partnerships like this allow us to respond faster and serve more people, especially in areas where water scarcity becomes a serious health risk after disasters,” Gordon said.

For his part, IPC President Mikio Tsukui thanked ACMobility and IDI for their initiative.

“We are proud to witness our dealer partner, ACMobility, together with Iconic Dealership, Incorporated, take part in this meaningful initiative with the Philippine Red Cross. At Isuzu, we believe mobility can make a real difference in people’s lives, especially during times of crisis. Through this Isuzu FVR Water Tanker, we hope to support PRC’s disaster response efforts and help bring immediate assistance to communities in need,” Tsukui noted.

Meanwhile, IDI Isuzu Brand Head Eric Wambangco emphasized the long‑term impact of the donation on PRC’s humanitarian work.

“We are confident that this vehicle will become a valuable part of the Philippine Red Cross fleet for many years and continue supporting their mission of serving and uplifting lives across the country,” he said.

Here’s what the recently-donated Isuzu water tanker comes with.

Vehicle details

Per IPC, the unit that ACMobility and IDI donated to the non-government organization is based on an Isuzu FVR34 Q truck.

Set to directly support PRC’s disaster management operations in Cebu (where access to clean and safe water is often disrupted during emergencies, the newly-delivered unit is fitted with an 8,000-liter water tanker. This will be utilized for water distribution, hygiene promotion, and sustained humanitarian assistance in disaster-affected communities.  

The Japanese marque’s local distributor said that the medium-duty truck can withstand to carry such application as it boasts a reinforced chassis frame and high axle capacity.

Allowing the vehicle to move weight of 8,000 liters of water is a Euro IV-compliant Isuzu 6HK1-TCN Blue Power Diesel Engine.

Lastly, the vehicle’s durability and reliability is complemented by Isuzu’s nationwide aftersales support network.
