J&T Express grows fleet with new Foton trucks

MANILA: Courier services company J&T Express tapped Foton Motor Philippines, Inc. (FMPI) as it acquired additional truck units to serve as delivery vehicles.

 

The turnover ceremony of the trucks was attended by FMPI Fleet Manager Bong Balangue, FMPI Vice President for Sales and Marketing Levy Santos, Foton International Group Fleet Sales Manager Jack Lai, and J&T Express Purchasing Director Aaron Wang.

 

 

In a statement, J&T Express Vice President Zoe Chi said, "Foton trucks are always active, functional, and reliable. We believe that they are able to excel and innovate more to become better."

Since 2019, J&T Express has been using Foton truck units for its delivery services. Currently, the company has acquired  a total of 450 Foton commercial vehicle units. The recent purchase of another batch of Foton vehicles is part of J&T's expansion across the country.

 

 

Wang stated, "We chose Foton for its strong quality and nationwide after-sales service."

The delivery service company has chosen to purchase units of the Foton EST-M 6x2 Wing Van, which is known for its durable strength that can carry up to 25 tons of cargo. The truck is powered by an ISDe-270 Cummins engine that produces a maximum power output of 270hp at 2,500 rpm and maximum torque of 970Nm at 1,400rpm. It is equipped with two liftable slide doors and a mechanical back door. The truck features a rigid frame, with automatic cab tilting of up to 70 degrees, an ISOPOD turbocharger, collision retraction technology, and a door opening angle of 90 degrees.

 

J&T Express has also acquired units of one of the highly recognized Foton truck models, the Tornado M2.6C F-Van, that can accommodate up to 2.6 tons of cargo. It is motivated by a powerful Cummins ISF 2.8-liter engine that produces a constantly outstanding performance to enable better delivery service.

 

 

J&T also purchased units of the Foton Tornado M4.2C F-Van, which boasts a more spacious 4.2-ton payload capacity. It is powered by a US-developed Cummins ISF 3.8 engine, which is reliable in long- distance travel.
