10th PEVS: WM Motor presents Weltmeister W5

MANILA: WM Motor Philippines (WMPH) joins the 10th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit (PEVS) held at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City until October 21.

WMPH arrived in the country in the second quarter of 2022 along with its first model in the Philippines, the fully electric Weltmeister W5.

The Weltmeister W5 has an NEDC range of 403 kilometers. It is equipped with a 15.6-inch center screen for navigation and driving controls, UV sanitizing device and CN95 air filter, 360-degree camera with parking recording function, and built-in front dash camera.

Every purchase comes standard with a 7kW home wall charger and a 3.3kW charging cable compatible with 220V Type B wall outlet.

Among the driver assistance features included in the Weltmeister W5 are lane departure, blind spot assist, hill hold/hill descent assist, sport and eco driving modes, and three levels of energy regeneration.

The Weltmeister W5 retails for P2.548 million.

WMPH is also establishing a Lifestyle Hub and Service Center at the TDG In.Hub Building, AFP-RSBS Industrial Park in Western Bicutan, Taguig City. Once completed, it will be the country's first-of-its-kind service and lifestyle facility that features a full-service workshop that can provide all the aftersales needs of WM electric vehicles.

The facility will also have a lounge and coffee bar for guests to relax in while having their vehicle serviced.

It will also have an integrated training center to enhance the skills and proficiency of WM Motor technicians.

In addition to the W5, the WM distributor presented the Philippine debut of the Hongqi E-HS9 in order to gauge public opinion of the company and its product.

The Hongqi E-HS9, a full-size smart luxury electric SUV from FAW, was made available globally and entered Norway as the first European market in 2021.
