How did ACMobility expand its Power-on-Wheels business?
POW was expanded to serve business-owned EV fleets. What is the current service coverage of POW?
POW currently covers Metro Manila, Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal. The ACMobility-owned enterprise also has a presence in Bulacan and Pampanga. In other words, POW now has the capability to address the needs of electric vehicle fleets that are operated by small to large businesses in the country. In doing so, ACMobility provides more momentum for the growth of EV adoption in the local setting.
As ACMobility shared, this is also the right time to expand POW to be able to cater to electrified fleets, as more businesses have already adopted electric-powered cars for their respective operations. The company is merely responding to demand, which aligns with ACMobility's and many other local entities’ sustainability goals.
“With Power-on-Wheels, we are extending EV charging beyond fixed infrastructure to meet businesses where they operate,” Head of Mobility Infrastructure at ACMobility Carla Buencamino said.

With this expansion for POW, ACMobility shared that it now has the ability and scope to meet the mobile EV charging needs of the following sectors:
- Residential and condominium developers: EV charging for residents and guests
- Offices and commercial buildings: For tenants, employees, and visitors
- Fleet operators: Assured EV uptime and operational efficiency via scheduled on-site charging
- Customer-facing businesses: For temporary or event-based charging to enhance customer experience and improve EV visibility
For the unaware, POW itself operates a fleet of EV vans equipped with power supplies that can support battery electric vehicles (BEV) as well as select plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV).
These POW mobile charging vehicles have an energy capacity of 120 kilowatt-hours (kWh), and can provide direct current (DC) fast charging for EV units equipped with either GB/T or CCS2 plugs.

Interestingly enough, ACMobility’s BYD Cars Philippines has seen the adoption of PHEV models as commercial vehicles, with the handover of a fleet of Sealion 5 DM-i units to Highland Transport Service Cooperative.
There’s also the fact that BYD Cars Philippines is still the third best-selling car brand in the Philippines, according to a presentation held during the recent Association of Vehicle Importers and Distributors (AVID) Summit - a clear indication of widespread EV adoption.
