Auto China 2024: brief explainer

MANILA: The 2024 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition — also called Auto China 2024 — is just around the corner.

Pretty much like our very own Manila International Auto Show, the said automotive convention draws a multitude of car brands who are more than eager to display their latest innovations and offerings as well as throngs of people looking to bear witness to what the future of the industry will look like.

Likewise, Auto China 2024 will also be held in two locations.

The main auto venue will be at the China International Exhibition Center New Venue (Tianzhu) in Beijing while the automotive parts and related products halls will be staged at the China International Exhibition Center (Jinganzhuang).

Auto China 2024 will run from April 25-May 4, 2024, and will cover a total exhibition area of 230,000 square meters.

This year’s automotive spectacle is themed “New Era, New Cars,” so attendees can expect to see some of the newest cars from various manufacturers. While the organizer has not revealed the number and name of the participating car brands, the conference is expecting to see some of the largest names as China is considered a major market for most car marques.

Among the presentations at Auto China 2024 will be Honda's new electric vehicle line and Omoda's newest sport utility vehicle.

Autonomous technologies, connected vehicle solutions, new-energy vehicles, power control units, as well as automotive parts and components are just some of the things that await visitors.

Auto China 2024 is sponsored by China Machinery Industry Federation, China National Machinery Industry Corporation, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and China Association of Automobile Manufacturers; jointly organized by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Automotive Committee, China National Automotive Industry International Co., Ltd., China International Exhibition Center Group Corporation and China Society of Automotive Engineers.
