Autohub Group, Shell, Smart launch Car+

MANILA: The Autohub Group, along with its partners Shell and Smart, has launched a new automotive analytics service — Car+.

According to Autohub, Car+ will allow owners access to car and driver data and analytics to ensure their automobile’s performance, prevent breakdowns, and realize better fuel efficiency.

“Our partnership with Carmen Automotive, Shell Helix Motor Oils, and Smart Communications, has taken Car+ to new heights. Together we will make car ownership easier and more enjoyable for everyone. My goal is to put Autohub in the leaderboard in terms of car technology innovation. The new Car+ launch is a testament to making car ownership in the Philippines more reliable,” said Autohub Group President Willy Tee Ten.

Through Car+, car owners can get updates on their automobile’s mileage, coolant and engine temperature, battery voltage and life, mass airflow measurement, as well as fuel consumption.

Real-time data is sent to the Car+ platform thanks to the Smart Internet of Things (IoT) sim card fitted inside the dongle. With almost instantaneous information transfer, a dedicated support team can contact Car+ owners about any possible problem.

Further, the same support team can help Car+ customers with guidelines as well as set up appointments on where and when to visit the nearest Nexthub service station.

Car+ is bundled with the Shell Helix Premium Oil Change Package. Those who will avail of the said package will receive the Car+ device as well as a two-year subscription to the said service.
