Chery Tiggo 2 hits 1-M global production milestone

MANILA: The Chery Tiggo 2 has recently breached the one-million production milestone.

In a statement, the Chinese automaker’s local arm shared that the nameplate — present in South America, North America, Asia, and Africa — was able to establish a global presence with its “excellent product strength and precise market positioning.”

Eyed to meet the needs of contemporary young motorists, the Chery Tiggo 2’s design team has been focused on conducting updates and upgrades since its introduction in 2016.

For its exterior features, the Chery Tiggo 2 headlight design has changed from the classic look to incorporating the split-type technology.

Designers have also added horizontal visual elements and a tail wing to bolster the nameplate’s youthful and sporty character.

Chery also attributed the Tiggo’s success worldwide to its market strategies that fit the market that the model is offered to.

According to Chery Auto Philippines, the Tiggo 2 demonstrated market adaptability and flexible strategy adjustments in key global markets such as Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan, and Mexico.

The Chery Tiggo 2 in Brazil emphasizes its excellent off-road performance and adaptability while also strengthening the vehicle's durability and safety performance while the version found in Mexico showcased its compliance and reliability through precise adjustments (high-temperature environment, specific fuel requirements, complex and changing driving conditions, and unique driving habits).

Chery also linked the Tiggo 2’s achievements in the global market to the strategic cooperation with Fortune 500 companies.

“Through deep collaborations with top international enterprises such as Bosch, Continental, and BorgWarner, Tiggo 2 has made qualitative leaps in key technologies and components, providing users with higher levels of safety, stability, and comfort,” the company noted.

“These strategic collaborations with Fortune 500 companies not only showcase Chery's far-reaching layout in its global strategy but also demonstrate its firm determination to pursue quality and technological innovation. By integrating global resources, Chery Tiggo 2 successfully incorporates international advanced technologies and standards into its products, providing global users with high-quality vehicles that meet international standards, further solidifying its competitiveness in the global automotive market,” it added.
