The cabin of the Chery Tiggo 2 Pro feels as simple and understated as the exterior design of the SUV, with the overall cabin finished in a theme of black. Here, the spokes of the multi-functional steering wheel and inner door handles get satin silver touches, while the asymmetric centre console is slightly tilted towards the driver's side.

The instrument console behind the flat-bottom, tilt-adjustable multi-functional steering wheel looks conventional and old-school with its analogue layout but is decently informative. The centre console has tapered AC vents at the top, while the 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system sits below it and is the highlight of the centre console here. The lower centre console, which looks like a different panel altogether, houses the buttons for the manual climate control and USB and 12V charging ports.

The cabin of the Chery Tiggo 2 Pro is not too feature-rich, and gets only the basics like power windows, electronic parking brake, cup holders in the front centre console behind the transmission lever and electronically-adjustable and foldable rearview mirrors. However, the absence of must-haves like driver seat height adjustment, engine start-stop button, and auto AC is quite baffling.

The Chery Tiggo 2 Pro has a very simple design, which is easy to the eyes, and doesn’t exhibit much visual drama from the outside. The overall design might not be groundbreaking or segment best, but it looks decent with proportionate lines and size.

The front profile of the Chery Tiggo 2 Pro has a large hexagonal grille, which forms the central part of the fascia. Featuring a diamond-studded design for the chrome inserts within it, the front grille of the Chery Tiggo 2 Pro is flanked by slim strips of daytime running LEDs beyond its upper corners. The Chery Tiggo 2 Pro gets distinguished headlamps with gloss black surrounds in separate clusters on the corners of the fog lamps, which house LED projectors and halogen turn indicators below them. A slim silver skid plate and thin body moulding over the lower part of the front bumper complete the look of the compact SUV at the front.

The side profile of the Chery Tiggo 2 Pro looks quite plain, though the sharp crease flowing through the door panels in a curved manner, 16-inch machined alloy wheels, wheel arch mouldings and door side mouldings do add some style to the side profile. The Chery Tiggo 2 Pro also comes with turn indicators integrated into the rearview mirrors, chrome garnish for the window line, and silver roof rails.

The rear profile of the compact SUV looks as subtle as the front, with the compact SUV getting a gloss black finish for the side air curtains beside the windscreen and the horizontal strip connecting the triangular tail lamps on the outer edges of the boot lid. The rear bumper also gets thick body moulding and a rugged-looking silver skid plate over it.

The basic monocoque frame of the Chery Tiggo 2 Pro is accompanied by a conventional suspension setup of independent McPherson struts at the front and a torsion beam at the rear. There are no drive modes, and the suspension setup of the Tiggo 2 Pro is decent enough to absorb undulations with ease and comfort.

The engine and transmission combination offered in the Chery Tiggo 2 Pro is a 1.5-litre four-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine with a CVT gearbox. Here, the engine produces a maximum power output of 108 bhp, while the peak torque output is rated at 140 Nm.

The standard safety equipment list provided in the Chery Tiggo 2 Pro includes dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, an electronic stability program, hill decent control, traction control, cruise control, reverse camera, reverse parking sensors and electronic parking brake.

The Chery Tiggo 2 Pro is one of the most affordable compact SUVs on sale right now, but it lacks the excitement factor in terms of features and driving appeal. It is a decent option for those who want a decent-looking vehicle that rides well.
