Inside, the Chery Tiggo ReV’s cabin features a combination of soft-touch materials and faux wood panels all around. Upfront, you are greeted by a 15.6-inch floating touchscreen infotainment display that offers wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and Bluetooth connectivity. This infotainment display is connected to a 12-speaker Sony sound system, which boasts an immersive riding experience. 

Meanwhile, drivers have access to a 10.25-inch TFT instrument display, a multicontrol steering wheel, which has an intelligent voice control feature, and a heads-up display. That said, its cockpit is very driver-centric. 

In terms of comfort and convenience, you have plenty of room both in the first and second rows. However, its third row would be more ideal for kids or smaller passengers in general. Its leather seats finished in space black offer great cushioning and ergonomics for everyone on board. Additionally, this SUV also comes with USB charging ports and a wireless phone charger. 

For starters, the Chery Tiggo ReV measures 4,725 mm in length, 2,089 mm in width, and 1,705 mm in height. It also comes with a 2,710-mm wheelbase and a 200-mm ground clearance.  

The Chery Tiggo ReV features a smart modern look, which exudes just the right balance of confidence and elegance on the road. Its front end is illuminated by assertive-looking angular LED headlights with vertical LED DRLs. Its bumper adds a bit of ruggedness to its overall appearance. And, to complete its premium electrified look, it gets an unventilated diamond accent grille.

On the sides, it flaunts a stylish two-toned silhouette, accentuated by black window trims, wheel arches, and garnishes. Its flush door handles and dynamic-looking 18-inch two-tone alloy metal wheels enhance its modern electrified personality wherever it goes. 

Similar to its cousins, its rear design also has a European-like vibe attached to it, which is further emphasized by its through-type LED tail lamps. It also gets a pair of faux exhaust tips for added sportiness and detail. And, for enhanced driver and passenger convenience, this plug-in hybrid SUV comes with a power tailgate with a height memory function and ornamental roof rails. Ultimately, the Tiggo ReV is among the best-looking models in the local lineup.

In terms of suspension, the Chery Tiggo ReV comes with a MacPherson Strut at the front and a Multi-Link independent-type at the rear. In the city, this SUV effectively absorbs bumps and other road imperfections, resulting in a supple riding experience for all passengers. For its size, it also handles decently. 

However, it would be advisable to take extra precaution when hitting sharp turns or corners with this SUV because its steering can get a bit too light (i.e., lacks a bit of feedback). But, at the end of the day, this family-friendly car is designed to be driven sensibly inside the city.

The Chery Tiggo ReV is powered by the brand’s Plug-in Super Hybrid system, which combines a 1.5L turbo-charged, in-line 4, Miller Cycle engine with a single electric motor at the front. Its electric motor is powered by an 18.66 kWh battery pack. Combined, its hybrid powertrain delivers 204 PS, 310 Nm of torque, and an outstanding 1,400-km CLTC driving range. This SUV comes mated to Chery’s dedicated hybrid transmission system and utilizes a front-wheel drivetrain.

Off the line, this SUV is impressively peppy, allowing you to effectively overtake slower vehicles on free-flowing highways. Its DHT is smooth and just enhances the driver’s overall experience on the road. Overall, the Tiggo ReV is a very cost-efficient vehicle for your daily Metro Manila commute and, at the same time, a capable long-distance tourer–boasting a best-in-class fuel efficiency of 84.28 kmpl (under ideal conditions).

In terms of safety, the Chery Tiggo ReV is equipped with 14 ADAS, a 540-degree panoramic view camera and a reverse camera with dynamic guidelines, adaptive cruise control, 6 SRS airbags, 4 rear parking sensors, ISOFIX anchors, a tire pressure monitoring system, and an anti-theft system with immobilizer. 

Its braking setup is also supported by an anti-lock braking system, electronic brakeforce distribution, electronic stability program, traction control system, and a brake assist. This plug-in hybrid SUV comes with front and rear disc brakes.

In my opinion, the Tiggo ReV has the potential to strengthen Chery’s current positioning in the local market. It is a very well-rounded vehicle that cuts many of its 7-seater competitors in terms of price.
