Chery Auto PH rebrands Tiggo REV

MANILA: Chery Auto Philippines (CAP) has rebranded the locally-retailed rEV in the market and made it more affordable.

Now called the all-new Chery Tiggo rEV Luxury Edition (LE), the latest plug-in hybrid electric vehicle wears a P1.528-million price tag — P120,000 less than the previous model that is sold for P1.648 million.

In an interview, Chery Auto Philippines Brand Head Franz Decloedt said that the newest product is the company’s way of making the Tiggo rEV seven-seater more accessible to Filipino families.”

According to the United Asia Automotive Group Incorporated-led vehicle importer, the all-new Tiggo rEV LE is a full-featured vehicle that delivers premium features and intelligent technology.

“CAP’s best-selling Tiggo rEV takes a bold leap forward in its LE version, delivering premium hybrid innovation and elevated features at an exceptionally competitive price point. With the Tiggo rEV LE, CAP is offering the future of family mobility that is engineered to lead,” the company noted in a statement.

Here’s what clients can have with the all-new Tiggo rEV LE.

Under the hood is the same 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with advanced Dual Motor (C-DM) technology that dish churns of up to:

Peak torque (in Newton-meters)	310

The aforementioned mill is mated to a dedicated hybrid transmission and an 18.66-kilowatt-hour battery, which gives the crossover a combined of as much as 1,400 kilometers.

The unit’s energy bank can be juiced up via Type 2 and CCS2 charging ports.

Inside, the all-new Chery Tiggo rEV LE features a familiar cabin that is fitted with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and 15.6-inch floating infotainment display (Wireless Apple CarPlay and Wireless Android Auto) paired with a Sony 12-speaker surround sound system.

Other creature comforts that are available in the Chery Tiggo rEV LE are:

• Head-up Display (HUD) 
• Ventilated front seats
• Remote engine start with brake pedal trigger
• Smart proximity key access
• Panoramic sunroof
• Hidden-type exterior door handles for a sleek, futuristic profile

It also comes with driver assistive systems such as:

• Adaptive cruise control
• Autonomous emergency braking
• Lane departure warning system
• Rear cross traffic alert
• Blind spot monitoring

Complementing these functions are the 540-degree camera system with dynamic guidelines, as well as a built-in front digital video recorder.
