“Green GSM’s presence in Northern Mindanao is expected to create meaningful value for the local community. The development of electric vehicle-based transportation will help strengthen regional connectivity while creating more employment opportunities for service drivers, while passengers gain an additional safe, modern and convenient mobility option with more affordable costs than other ride-hailing companies,” the firm mentioned.
“Expanding into Northern Mindanao enables Green GSM to increase our service coverage in a region with strong potential, while giving more residents access to electric mobility with consistent service quality and reasonable costs. We will continue to develop our network and work with local partners to build a scalable electric transportation model that can create long-term value for the Philippines,” Green SM Global Chief Executive Officer Pham Nhat Minh Hoang was quoted as saying.
In its strides outside Philippines, Green SM has entered the Netherlands, boosting its existence in the European market.
To note, the Netherlands is Green SM’s eighth market globally and its second European market, following Denmark. The firm expressed firm belief that the start of pilot operations there provides an opportunity for the company to gain deeper insights into local mobility needs and market characteristics.
During the initial phase, Green SM will provide services in Centrum, West and Zuid districts, before gradually expanding into Oost, Noord, Nieuw-West and Zuidoost, with the goal of extending coverage across Amsterdam. This phase will also allow Green SM to gather firsthand feedback from customers and drivers to further refine its services, operational processes and user experience ahead of the official launch.
“The Netherlands is an important next step in Green SM’s journey in Europe. At this stage, our priority is not simply to put the service into operation, but more importantly to build a strong foundation for a high-quality service, from selecting and supporting our driver network to ensuring a consistent customer experience,” Green SM Europe CEO Richard Nabil Chahine said.
“We look forward to listening to our customers, learning from the Dutch market and gradually building Green SM into a trusted electric mobility option, offering high-quality experiences at competitive prices.”
