LOOK: Here are the toll fees for Skyway Stage 3

MANILA: One of the thoroughfares linking the North Luzon Expressway to the South Luzon Expressway is the Skyway Stage 3, which was developed by San Miguel Corporation (SMC). The Skyway Stage 3 enables shorter travel times between the northern and southern areas of Metro Manila. It also helps decongest traffic in EDSA and other major roads in Metro Manila. The Skyway Stage 3 is operated by the Skyway Operations and Maintenance Corporation (SOMCo).

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • Why are toll fees required?

Toll fees are required when passing along toll expressways in order to support and sustain the operation of the road.
  • Are there any vehicles that are exempted from toll fees?

Yes, government vehicles on official business; public firetrucks and ambulances; marked vehicles of AFP, PNP, and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology; and marked impounding vehicles from LTO and LTFRB are exempted from toll fees.
  • Is it necessary to regularly reload my RFID?

Reloading your RFID account is not required but take note that RFID users who habitually pass through without enough load will be subject to a three-strike policy by toll expressways. Any vehicle that enters a toll gate with insufficient load for the third time are fined P1,000.
  • What happens if my RFID wallet does not have enough load?

You may still use the expressway if your RFID wallet has insufficient load. You will be requested to either reload your RFID account at the next ticket booth.
  • Here are the Skyway Stage 3  toll fees for Class 1 vehicles (cars, jeepneys, vans, AUVs, SUVs) approved by the Toll Regulatory Board.

In a previous statement, SMC President Ramon Ang said, “We know from experience that times are hard for many, and even a little relief for motorists can go a long way. These toll rates reflect our deferral of the collection of a substantial amount of the cost to build Skyway 3. We also further lowered the rates for those traveling shorter distances.”

“We aggressively pursued the completion of Skyway 3 despite all of the obstacles, including right-of-way issues, because our people need a long-term solution to traffic. We believe it can also help boost our economy over the long term as it provides, finally, a seamless connection between North and South Luzon. With the same dedication, we will pursue other major road and mass transport projects to benefit our countrymen,” Ang added.
