Metrobank Visa to raffle off VCARB F1 exclusive experience

MANILA: Metrobank, in partnership with Visa, is raffling off a chance to see the Visa Cash App RB Formula One Team (VCARB) in action at the upcoming Singapore Grand Prix (GP) scheduled for September 20-23, 2024. 

The said offer is open to all Metrobank Visa cardholders. To enter, one has to register on the Metrobank Card website and choose the “Visa Cash App RB SG 2024” offer. Raffle entries are earned by using the said card until August 15, 2024, on travel-related, international or merchant installment purchases. 

The grand raffle prize, of course, is a VCARB Exclusive Experience for two individuals. The said prize comes with the chance to see Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda in person. It also provides a four-day and three-night stay at a luxurious hotel in Singapore, a round-trip business class flight (flights between September 20-23 only), and one set of official VCARB merchandise. 

Besides the VCARB Exclusive Experience, 19 participants of the contest may also take home official VCARB merchandise. 

To note, VCARB’s former name was Scuderia Toro Rosso. In 2006, it became a junior team to Red Bull Racing before rebranding to “AlphaTauri” in 2020. The team only made the switch to the VCARB name in 2024.

In the current season, VCARB is currently sixth in the Formula One World Constructor’s Championships, with a current point tally of 34. 

One of the best results for the team within the year was a seventh-place finish for Yuki Tsunoda at the Australian GP held at the Albert Park Circuit in Melbourne, Australia. 

Daniel Ricciardo, meanwhile, managed to secure an eight-place finish at this year’s Canadian GP, which was held at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, Quebec.

Prior to the Singapore GP, the Formula One World Championship will be heading to the Circuit Zandvoort in the Netherlands for the 2024 Dutch GP on August 25. 

Following the Netherlands, the racing event will head to the Autodromo Nazionale Monza for the Italian GP on September 1 and the Azerbaijan GP at the Baku City Circuit on September 15.
