MIAS Wired: Chery PH gives first glimpse of Tiggo 7 Pro

MANILA: Chery Auto Philippines previewed the all-new Tiggo 7 Pro in its presentation at the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) Wired 2020.

The Tiggo 7 Pro, the latest version of the Tiggo 7, is yet to be released in the market. Chery Auto Philippines Pesident Rommel Sytin said, “We are excited to let MIAS Wired visitors get the first look at our all-new Chery Tiggo 7 Pro. With its luxury SUV styling and premium features, we expect it to be a gamechanger in the fast-growing compact crossover segment.”

Chery Vice President and Global Chief of Car Design Kevin Rice was responsible for the vehicle’s top-quality design. The British auto design expert had previously worked for other leading car companies such as Mazda, from 1999 to 2005, and BMW, for the 1, 3, and 4 Series.

Passengers will surely appreciate the Tiggo 7 Pro’s 10.25-inch touchscreen with six-speaker infotainment system which can be connected to smartphones through Mirror Link, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. It is also capable of wireless phone charging, and has a smart key that allows the driver to easily start the engine, turn on the air-con, or open the tailgate and windows.

Customers can also look forward to its other first-class features such as a 360-degree high-definition camera, power tailgate, electronic parking brake, tire pressure monitoring system, a rear camera with front and rear proximity sensors, and digital instrument cluster.

The compact crossover is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged DOHC 16-valve Euro 5 4-cylinder engine matched with a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

When it comes to road safety, Chery had ensured that the Tiggo 7 Pro can provide guaranteed protection to the passengers. It is equipped with anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), electronic stability program (ESP), emergency brake assist (EBA), traction control system (TCS), hill-start assist control (HAC), hill descent control (HDC), brake override system, emergency signal system, and Isofix.

The Tiggo 7 Pro is entitled to Chery’s 10-year or one million-km engine warranty, five-year or 150,000-km general vehicle warranty, free three years of preventive maintenance service (PMS), and free three years of roadside assistance.

The pricing and full specifications will be revealed on the official launch of the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro in 2021.
