PSBank offers lower loan rates on Toyota hybrid models until Aug. 31

MANILA: PSBank and Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) have launched the “Say Hi to Hybrid Auto Loan Promo” to make hybrid vehicles more accessible to Filipinos.

The promo offers lower rates for Toyota Corolla Cross 1.8V Hybrid and Toyota Corolla Altis 1.8V Hybrid CVT. Every purchase of any of the participating models also comes with a free one-year comprehensive insurance.

In a statement, PSBank Senior Vice President and Marketing Head Emmanuel Tuazon said, “This partnership is our way of staying true to our promise of ‘Simple Lang, Maasahan’ and of providing reliable and sustainable products that are tailored to meet our customers’ needs. In this case, we are paving the way to financial and environmental sustainability.”

“This partnership with PSBank is important for us at Toyota because it helps us continue spreading awareness on the benefits of HEVs, and make the shift easier and more convenient,” TMP Assistant Vice President for Marketing Services Elvin Luciano stated. “We hope that through this initiative, we can lead Filipinos to a more exciting future of more electrified vehicles.”

Hybrid vehicles serve as better alternative mobility as they give off fewer CO2 emissions. They are self-charging and fuel-efficient, having a battery that is charged through regenerative braking system that stores the energy produced when braking.

To be more sustainable, Toyota has been collecting used hybrid vehicle batteries for recycling and other purposes such as extracting rare materials to reuse them. Toyota’s nickel batteries are 100% recyclable.

Hybrid vehicles help not only in saving the environment, but also in minimizing fuel expenses as they switch from their electric motor to gasoline engine only when needed.
