Team Isuzu Philippines Bagged Top Slot at 2015 IWTC

MANILA: Team Isuzu Philippines acquired top slot at the recently concluded 2015 Isuzu World Technician Competition. Our team shined by standing first in the Commercial Vehicle Division Category B and second in the Light Commercial Vehicle Division.

As for the Isuzu Commercial Vehicle competing team, it had two members in total with one head. Coach Napoleon Marquez was in command with Arman Bulahan of Isuzu Davao and Ramie Monterola of Isuzu Makati. The Isuzu Light Commercial Vehicle team followed the same hierarchy with Coach Ernesto Corocoto as the head and Martt Erruze Pugay of Isuzu Pasig and Ruben Cerillo of Isuzu Pasig as team members.

Team Isuzu Philippines, has remained a constant winner in this 10 year old world technician competition that took place in the brand new Japanese training facility, Monozukuri Training Center in Fujisawa. It was only last year when Team Isuzu Philippines came second in Emission Regulation for Euro-4, N-series and less. And a year before that it was in the top three slot. So in all, the winning cycle of the team represents its improved capability and service quality that it is serving back at home.

About 2015 IWTC

This year competition included 43 teams representing as many as 35 different countries. The competition took place early this November at Isuzu's new Japanese training center in Fujisawa that was witnessed by over 1000 people.

During the daylong event, teams were given different task that included assignments like electrical testing, measuring cylinder head before reassembly, vehicle inspection and diagnostics. Apart from participial tasks, the event also hosted an objective exam that included 25 questions covering general, technical product and company specific questions. Also, the winning team of 2015 Isuzu World Technician Competition came from the host nation Japan, while team New Zealand acquired second place.
