UnionBank, Shell launches new credit card for ‘smart motorists’

MANILA: UnionBank, in partnership with Shell fuels has launched a new credit card designed for “smart motorists.”

Dubbed the UnionBank Shell Power Credit Card, the said credit card is touted as a smart companion for motorists as it offers “unbelievable convenience and rewards.”

UnionBank Shell Power Credit Card owners can use it to fuel up, shop, dine, and travel with ease.

“With global acceptance and Visa world-class security features, the UnionBank Shell Power Credit Card is truly one’s road to a world of possibilities,” Shell said in a press release.

Exclusive perks, benefits

Holders of the UnionBank Shell Power Credit Card can enjoy annual savings of up to P15,000 annual savings on Shell fuel-related expenses.

These exclusive perks and benefits include rebates of up to five percent, up to P4 off on Shell fuels, a 10-percent discount on Shell lubricants in Shell stations through Shell Go+, and five percent rebates on toll and auto shops nationwide.

Further, new credit card applicants who apply exclusively at any Shell station can enjoy an P8 per liter discount on their first fuel purchase. Moreover, those who will apply during the promotional period (ending on April 30, 2024) can get “zero annual fees” benefits.

Showing just how packed the UnionBank Shell Power Credit Card is, the two companies chose to kickstart the service with much fanfare.

UnionBank and Shell rolled out their new product at an event at Grand Hyatt Manila this month.

Guests were treated to exhilarating Maserati power drives, culinary delights from Executive Chef Mark Hagan, and testimonials from esteemed guests in a program hosted by celebrity model Will Devaughn who invited the attendees to “fully explore your senses and embrace the boundless moments,” upon opening the program.
