You can now reload your AutoSweep, EasyTrip account via GrabPay

MANILA: Motorists can now reload their AutoSweep and EasyTrip accounts through GrabPay. Grab has partnered with tollway collection companies to provide another option where commuters can safely reload their accounts and make contactless toll payments.

In a release, Grab said it believes that the use of cashless transactions for the toll payments can help in curbing the spread of COVID-19 as it lessens hand-to-hand transfer of cash between the drivers and the tollway attendants.

AutoSweep and EasyTrip were introduced in 2020 as electronic tollway collection systems using radio frequency identification (RFID). EasyTrip has been one of Grab’s partners through CIS Bayad Center Inc. since Grab launched its Bill Payment feature. Meanwhile, AutoSweep reloading started to become available in the platform during the first quarter of 2021. With the use of the electronic tollway collection systems, motorists can pass through toll gates without using a stub or paying with cash, which is more convenient and safer.

The AutoSweep RFID is used along the Skyway, South Luzon Expressway (SLEX), NAIA Expressway (NAIAX), Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX), STAR Tollway, and the Muntinlupa-Cavite Expessway (MCX). Meanwhile, the EasyTrip RFID is used by motorists going to the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX), Cavite-Manila Expressway (Cavitex), and Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX). These road networks serve as the main gateway from Metro Manila to nearby provinces, where vehicles transporting agriculture, livestock, and other important produce are usually passing.

In a statement, Grab Financial Group Philippines Country Lead Erwin Yamsuan said, “Our partnership with AutoSweep and EasyTrip is one of Grab’s initiatives to provide cashless payment options for Filipinos. With many livelihoods and industries relying on the transport of goods and services along the major highways in the country every day, it is important to ensure the safety and health of drivers when they pay for transport fees. We hope that providing more convenient payment methods with both AutoSweep and EasyTrip will give our motorists and their families more peace of mind, especially during these times.”

To reload an AutoSweep or EasyTrip account, customers need to open the Grab mobile app then go to “Bills.” From there, they will select either AutoSweep or EasyTrip. On the next page, the account number and amount that will be reloaded will be entered, then wait for the confirmation.

Aside from AutoSweep and EasyTrip RFID reloading, GrabPay can also be used to process bill payment to various merchants including key utility companies and government agencies. GrabPay has partnered with Meralco, VECO, Manila Water, Maynilad, CableLink, Cignal TV, Destiny Cable, PLDT, Globe, Smart, Smart Bro, and Sun Cellular, allowing users to pay for their electric, water, internet, cable, and mobile phone bills without having to visit any physical payment center.

GrabPay can also be used to process the payment for government fess including DFA passport scheduling fees, NBI clearance payment, and MMDA payment. GrabPay users can also send donations to Unicef through the mobile app to help the people in need, especially during this pandemic.
