Foodpanda riders get P10/L price cuts in Caltex stations

MANILA: Caltex is giving discounts as much as P10 per liter to Foodpanda riders — available in all its participating stations nationwide.

Aimed at helping riders deal with the skyrocketing fuel prices while maximizing their earnings, Ka-panda Gasolinahan” campaign is a year-long initiative that the fuel company and Foodpanda Logistics recently forged.

“This program first rolled out even before this current wave of fuel hikes,” Rider Experience Lead of Foodpanda Logistics Philippines Ron Sanders said.

“It is part of our efforts to uplift and support our Ka-panda partners in various areas of their lives and livelihoods. But now, with these latest hikes, this kind of program becomes more relevant than ever,” he added.

Per Sanders, Foodpanda Logistics is shouldering P7 of the P10-per-liter markdown to ease the burden on riders.

Meanwhile, Foodpanda riders in Cavite and the National Capital Region will receive the same advantage in the coming months.

How to avail

To avail of the exclusive discounts, Foodpanda Logistics partner riders need to secure a Caltex SavePlus card and register it to their Caltex Rewards account through a provided link.

Once done, they need to provide their Rider ID and Caltex card number to the gas attendant whenever they fuel up, to enjoy the price cuts.

Per Foodpanda, riders can only avail discounts for up to three liters of fuel for every transaction.

“Just like with the onboarding of our partner riders to our platform, we want the registration process for the discounts to be as simple as possible, so that they can enjoy savings with utmost convenience,” Sanders explained.

“We are very grateful to Caltex for embarking on this partnership with us, and together we are committed to making a positive impact to countless Ka-pandas across the country.”

He also noted the latest initiative is not the first time that Foodpanda Logistics has provided fuel discounts to its partners, as the platform has worked with various brands in providing not just fuel discounts but other perks and exclusive treats, ever since the height of the pandemic when the delivery rider sector rapidly grew.
