Check out the 5 colors of the VinFast Viper e-motorcycle

VinFast E-Motorcycle Philippines has rolled out its initial offerings, and one of the most striking models from the lineup is the Viper.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • What powers the VinFast Viper?

The VinFast Viper uses an inhub motor.
  • What is its range?

The VinFast Viper has an estimated range of up to 80 kilometers per battery.
  • Today, we look at its available colors, which somehow represent some of its notable features. So, here is a quick look at the five hues of the VinFast Viper e-motorcycle.

    Other stories:

    White

Kicking things off is white. Now, VinFast E-Motorcycle Philippines does not have any naming codes for the colors of their two-wheelers, so we will just call the tone as it is.

Those following the publication know that we always associate the color white with safety, and the VinFast Viper has a few safety features of its own.

First are its lights. At the fore is a cluster for the LED projector headlamp. Not only does it provide good visibility at nighttime, but it helps when navigating dark areas like dimly lit parking spaces and even tunnels, which might be a part of one’s daily commute.

The rear also gets an LED taillamp, which will help the vehicles behind see you better.

Next is its front braking system, which consists of a ventilated disc and a caliper. Disc brakes are known for providing good stopping power and will work in almost all weather conditions.

They will also handle heat well compared to other brake types, which means that these will perform consistently even on longer rides.

    Silver

In silver, the VinFast Viper looks tough and reliable. Complementing the abovementioned front braking setup is a decent suspension system that can handle weight up to 200 kilograms.

At the front are telescopic forks with hydraulic dampers, while the rear gets two shock absorbers with oil dampers.

The entire body sits on a solid frame that there was no apparent vibration when the author took the model for test rides.

Adding to its tough looks is the chunky rear grab bar that looks like it can even handle the weight of a cargo box. Speaking of cargo, the flat footrests—aka gulay board—can be used to carry small bags and other daily items, should one use the VinFast Viper as an everyday motorcycle.

    Black

Black represents the sportiness of the VinFast Viper, so much that its looks are not far from those of 125-cubic-centimeter internal combustion engine-powered scooters in the country.

Would-be owners will be treated to a sharp-looking fascia with a VinFast “V” at the upper cowling. It also has a short fender at the front end to prevent mud and dirt from spraying all over the electric motorcycle.

On its sides are athletic-looking fairings with plenty of sharp angles. Further, the cushiony saddle moves slightly upwards, following the bodyline of the bike.

At the back are tapered appointments, finished by the sharp-looking fender with the plate holder and amber turn signals.

    Red

Ever the evocative color, red best showcases the capabilities of the VinFast Viper.

Relying solely on an electric motor and a lithium iron phosphate battery rated at 1.5 kilowatt-hours, it is able to reach speeds of up to 90 kilometers per hour (kph).

With a rider weighing around 65 kilograms, it can accelerate from a standstill to 50 kph in six seconds.

In terms of range, the VinFast Viper does about 82 kilometers (km) on a single battery and about 145 with two.

For monitoring speed, it has a smart thin-film transistor screen with a multi-information display.

    Brown

Brown is not a common color for motorcycles in the Philippines. So, here are a few uncommon facts about the VinFast Viper.

    Lasting battery

According to VinFast Philippines, the Viper uses a long-lasting LFP battery, which deliver enhanced safety, longer lifespan, and stable performance for every journey.

    Waterproof protection

The electric motorcycle is IP67-rated. This means that the motor has decent water resistance at a depth of 0.5 meters for 30 minutes.

    Pricing

The VinFast Viper has a starting price of P73,900.
