MANILA: RentaPasada program partners can purchase the “Green” models they have leased after fulfilling their five-year contract.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • How can one buy the VinFast electric vehicle after my RentaPasada contract ends?

Partners who want to own the vehicle after completing the five-year contract can purchase the unit they have after an assessment process conducted by VinFast.
  • What expenses are covered by the program?

The program covers expenses such as LTO fees, insurance fees, and charging fees, among others.
  • The leadership of the Vietnamese carmaker’s local wing shared that drivers who rent either the five-seater Herio Green or the seven-seater Limo Green can buy the vehicles that have helped them earn through the Green GSM platform, should they desire to own them.

VinFast Philippines Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sales and Dealer Network Development Victor Vela told Zigwheels Philippines that if program partners decide to go the said route, an assessment will be done to determine the cost of the vehicle.

“The value of the car will be assessed based on the condition, the battery degradation… then the price will be determined, then the buyer will have the security deposit deducted, then they can have the chance [to buy the vehicle>, he said.

Supporting Vela’s comment, VinFast Philippines CEO Rhomel Franco noted: “The agreement allows that.”

During the said five-year contract, partners will take home 90 percent of their earnings in the first year and 85 percent of their earnings in the second and third years. “RentaPasada is a drive-to-earn rental program that brings together two things: access to a brand-new VinFast electric vehicle, and access to the Green GSM ride-hailing platform,” Franco was quoted as saying.

“We designed it to be approachable, the requirements to get started are modest, the terms are meant to be clearer, and the day-to-day economics are built so that more of what the driver earns stays with the driver,” he added.
