VinFast VF MPV 7

Upon entering the VinFast VF MPV 7, you are greeted by a cabin featuring a modern, minimalist dashboard layout and classy two-tone seats with a black-and-brown finish, giving its interior more warmth and personality. Up front, the driver has access to a multi-control steering wheel and a 10.1-inch central touchscreen display, which serves as both his or her instrument panel and the car’s infotainment system. Its infotainment offers Bluetooth connectivity, FM radio, and USB input, among others, and is linked to a 4-speaker sound system.

In terms of comfort and practicality, its first and second rows are spacious, while its third row is more suited for children or smaller passengers in general. On the plus side, it offers generous trunk space with the third-row seats folded, extending to as much as 1,240 liters with the second-row seats also folded. 

Aside from that, its PVC leather seats are plush and ergonomic even on long trips. For added convenience, this MPV also comes with USB Type-A and Type-C charging ports and an automatic climate control feature for the air-conditioning system. Ultimately, the VF MPV 7’s cabin offers a mix of comfort, practicality, and functionality on the road.

In terms of dimensions, the VinFast VF MPV 7 measures 4,740 mm in length, 1,872 mm in width, and 1,734 mm in height. This MPV also comes with a 2,840-mm wheelbase and a 185-mm ground clearance.

The VF MPV 7’s exterior design strikes a balance between sportiness and elegance. It features a futuristic-looking front end flanked by sleek LED DRLs. It also sports VinFast’s signature V-shaped chrome garnish, which makes its logo look more prominent. Additionally, its uniquely-shaped LED headlights give it a distinctive look on the road. And, underneath, a blacked-out grille adds a rugged touch to its overall appearance.

On the sides, it features a classy two-toned design, accentuated by black window trims, wheel arches, and side skirts. It runs on 19-inch wheels also with blacked-out rims, giving it a sportier and more rugged look than its 18-inch-wheeled commercial-focused counterpart. Meanwhile, its rear also looks very distinct at night, with its V-shaped tail light bar. A third brake light is also placed on its spoiler for enhanced visibility. Overall, this MPV exudes a premium yet approachable aura wherever it goes.

The VinFast VF MPV 7 comes with a MacPherson Strut suspension at the front and a Multi-Link at the rear. Similar to the Limo Green, its suspension is well-tuned for comfort. It soaks up bumps and other minor road imperfections quite well while minimizing body rolls. That said, this MPV offers a plush and very pleasant riding experience for all occupants.

The VinFast VF MPV 7 runs on a single electric motor that generates a maximum power output of 150 kW (201 hp) and a maximum torque output of 280 Nm. Feeding its motor is a 60.13-kWh battery offering a 450-km NEDC range (on a full charge). Using a fast charger, its battery can be replenished from 10% to 70% in just 30 minutes. Additionally, this MPV utilizes a front-wheel drivetrain and is equipped with three driving modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport.

On the highway, the VF MPV 7’s electric motor offers instant power and torque, allowing you to effectively perform quick overtakes. It keeps external noises at bay thanks to its great NVH suppression system, consequently delivering a smooth and refined cruising experience even at high speeds. Most importantly, it offers great efficiency in mixed conditions, making daily city commutes and personal leisure trips more convenient and cost-effective. 

In terms of safety, the VinFast VF MPV 7 is equipped with four SRS airbags and a rear parking camera, among others. It comes with front ventilated disc brakes and rear disc brakes, which are supported by an anti-lock braking system with electronic brakeforce distribution, electronic stability control, hill-start assist and hill-descent control, as well as roll over mitigation.

In my opinion, the VinFast VF MPV 7 has a huge potential to become more competitive in the local market moving forward. It is spacious, very practical for everyday use, cost-effective to run, and most importantly, emission-free. That said, it delivers a high value for money for an MPV.
