S-Presso is available in 4 different colors - Silky Silver Metallic, Granite Grey, Fire Red and Sizzle Orange.
With its funky approach to affordable motoring, the Suzuki S-Presso caters to the more affordable segment of entry level hatchbacks with its compact dimensions and low price point. Positioned below the Celerio, the Suzuki S-Presso is now the most affordable vehicle from Suzuki’s passenger car lineup, and is offered in a choice of colour options like Sizzle Orange, Fire Red, Granite Grey, and Silky Silver.
On the inside of the S-Presso, Suzuki has tried to instill a youthful vibe to the cabin, which looks unique and easily the one with the most amount of character in its segment. The whole layout of the dashboard seeks much of its inspiration from that of the Mini Cooper.
The steering wheel looks good and nice to hold but misses out on controls for audio on it. The instrument console moves away from its conventional positioning from behind the steering wheel to the centre of the dashboard, sitting at the top within a large round housing which takes the centre stage of the dashboard.
This centre round console houses a 7-inch basic touchscreen infotainment system just below the digital speedometer console, and just below the infotainment system, the front power window switches are placed. The central AC vents are positioned on the upper corners of this round console.
Apart from the touchscreen infotainment system, there are no other noteworthy features present in the Suzuki S-Presso. However, Suzuki has excelled in the way it has engineered the cabin to maximize the space out of such a small footprint. Despite being small in size, the cabin feels amply spacious for five passengers with ease.
Suzuki has tried its best to cash-in the ongoing trend of SUVs and crossovers for its entry-level cars in the form S-Presso. And while the S-Presson does look more rugged and bigger than its other rivals in the same space, it looks a bit weird and slightly disproportionate from some angles.
The frontal look of the Suzuki S-Presso looks bulky and heightened, thanks to a high mounted front bonner and a wide grille. The grille here looks sleek with toothed effect for its inner design and is flanked by a set of curved headlamps on either sides. The front bumper is huge for a car of this size, and comes with large black cladding snd lower inserts to make it look as rugged and SUV-ish as possible.
Moving towards the sides, and the Suzuki S-Presso shows its conventional side with a simple design for its door panels, rearview mirrors, and side windows. However, the bulging wheel arches and high ground clearance of 180mm makes it look bigger and heightened here as well.
At the rear, there is a simple affair for the Suzuki S-Presso, with a set of tail lamps, angular windshield and a clean design for the boot lid, which look much conventional and not as distinctive as the frontal design.
The Suzuki S-Presso comes with a light weighted setup for the steering as well as a suspension combination of Macpherson struts at the front and torsion beam at the rear. This entire setup is driving friendly for even the newest of the drivers and makes it a breeze to drive in the urban traffic. However, as the speeds rise, the limited feedback from the steering as well as slightly high ground clearance makes the S-Presso lose out on the finesse of the stability.
Powering the Suzuki S-Presso is a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, which has been shared with the Suzuki Celerio. In the Suzuki S-Presso, this very engine is paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard and pumps out a maximum power output of 68 PS and a maximum torque output of 90 Nm.
For a basic entry-level hatchback, the Suzuki S-Presso has been kitted with basic entry-level safety kit, including dual front airbags, ABS and reverse parking sensors
The Suzuki S-Presso has a very unconventional design in and out, which might take some time to get used to. However, once you get over the oddball styling, the S-Presso shines out as a brilliant mechanical package, for its positives like a peppy and refined engine and spacious cabin working in its favor.
