Zigwheels PH most viewed for 2025: Suzuki S-Presso

Suzuki Philippines Incorporated has made a name for itself as a specialist when it comes to compact cars. One of these is the S-Presso, which happened to have caught the attention of many Filipinos, making it one of the top 20 most searched vehicles on our website for 2025.

Here are a few things we think people loved about the compact car.

City-friendly size

One of the main reasons why people get the Suzuki S-Presso is its size. Having a compact form factor — coupled with a decent ground clearance — makes it a great vehicle to drive around the city.

First off, the hatchback is small enough to squeeze through the narrow roads of the city. This means that even new drivers can avoid accidental dents and dings from getting scuffed from obstructions, which — let’s face it — are common in our city’s streets.

Second, having to find a good parking spot won’t be that hard. It can squeeze into various parking areas, no problem. In addition, its tight wheelbase makes it easy to maneuver through those cramped corners that lead to the payment booth in most parking lots. Saves you from damaging the wheels when hitting the gutters.

Lastly, the Suzuki S-Presso clears the ground by 180 millimeters, which is good enough to let it breeze through potholes and bear with common road imperfections we face when driving in Manila. It also makes it so that going over speed bumps is made easier, and that driver’s won’t have to worry about scratching their bumpers when they park in spaces with awkwardly tall concrete stoppers.

Able powertrain

Under the hood of the Suzuki S-Presso is a 998 cubic-centimeter engine mated to either a five-speed manual gearbox or a five-speed automatic gear shifter, which is basically a manual transmission with an automated system.

On paper, it does some 65 horses with 89 Newton-meters of torque. This is good enough for crawling through malls and even for some out-of-town trips on the weekend.

Fuel economy-wise, the carmaker claims that it clocks in at around 25.33 kilometers per liter.
