Alfa Romeo Stelvio

The Alfa Romeo Stelvio cabin showcases top-notch quality and uniformity in the layout of the panels, with an old-school essence. This is evident in the design of the pop-up-styled dual-pod instrument console and the presence of physical buttons in the centre console. The cabin's full-black Nappa leather upholstery is well-complemented by brushed aluminum and faux walnut inserts and aluminium pedals.

There’s a modern 7-inch TFT MID between the pop-out analog dials, while the centre console is dominated by an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system placed in the upper centre console. On the other hand, the lower centre console accommodates twin AC vents, rounded controls for the climate settings and a wireless charger. The cabin of the Alfa Romeo Stelvio also has more modern features like powered front seats, a 14-speaker Harman Kardon music system, a sunroof and an electric tailgate.

The Alfa Romeo Stelvio's overall design impresses with its timelessness and elegance, staying true to the brand’s traditional design language. However, given its compact dimensions, curvy bodyline, and slightly low ground clearance, the Stelvio lacks the road presence of a heightened SUV and is more of a crossover than an SUV.

The Alfa Romeo Stelvio's unique front fascia comprises a triangular grille in the middle with gloss black surrounds and inserts. The sleek-looking, horizontally laid, wing-shaped headlamp housings have LED projectors and daytime running LEDs on their outer edges. The lower tip of the grille has huge air dams on both sides. 

The Stelvio's side profile might not have the height or upright stance of traditional SUVs, but the smooth curves flowing over the front and rear fenders and a sharp crease running sideways make it look stunning. The Stelvio comes equipped with 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels as standard.

The Alfa Romeo Stelvio's curvy appeal extends to the rear profile, too. The SUV has a sharply raked windscreen with a sporty-looking spoiler placed above it and a muscular boot with large triangular tail lamps with rounded edges and LED inserts.

All Alfa Romeos have traditionally been driver’s cars, and the Stelvio is no different from the lineage, thanks to its finely tuned steering and suspension setups. The aluminium Alfa Link suspension setup, comprising a double wishbone with a semi-virtual steering axle at the front and a multi-link setup with four and a half links at the rear, is further complemented by chassis domain control (CDC) for a precise and engaging driving experience.

Powering the sole variant of the Alfa Romeo Stelvio is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. Coupled with an 8-speed automatic transmission, this 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine churns out a maximum power output of 280 PS and a peak torque output of 415 Nm.

While the Alfa Romeo Stelvio is equipped with all the essentials like six airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, hill hold assist, hill descent control, front and rear parking sensors and reverse camera, it is also bestowed with Level-2 ADAS. This driving assistance package includes features like active blind spot monitoring, lane keep assist, active cruise control, forward collision warning with the autonomous emergency brake, driver attention assist, parking assist and automatic high beam.

In typical Alfa Romeo fashion, the Stelvio, despite breaking the brand's norm by being its first-ever SUV, sticks to its traditional ethos by offering a stunning design, a punchy powertrain, and a fine driving experience behind the steering wheel.
