The cabin features seven-seat configuration, spread across three well-spaced, ergonomically designed rows with generous legroom, shoulder, elbow and knee space. With focus on practicality, the GAC GM8 gets multiple storage points such as a wide centre console with easy accessibility and multiple utility points. The cabin is enveloped with premium soft materials and a light Madrid colour theme that combines light satin grey and dark olive with matte fine grain finish. The talking point of this flagship seven-seater minivan is the automatic sliding doors that provide convenient egress and ingress. The sliding doors additionally get anti-pinch function and 4 opening modes including internal handle, external handle, remote key control and front row integrated switch. Also, the cabin is well insulated which prevents noise from seeping inside and ensuring a quiet and peaceful ride. It measures a little over 5 m in length at 5,066 mm, width is around 1,923 mm and it stands 1,822 mm tall. In terms of styling, the flagship minivan combines elegance with luxury.  The body lines on the outside accentuate the butch character. While the highlight of the design remains the bold multiple slat, chrome-finished grille which meets with the upswept headlamps. The upright face features a bold bumper, sporting side skirts, and fog lamps. At the side, there is a prominent shoulder line that stretches across the headlamp and tail-lamps. Also, the multi-spoke alloy wheels fit well under pronounced wheel arches. The window glass is large and is highlighted by a thin chrome surround on the upper side. Rear-end equips LED tail-lamps and chrome-finished dual tail-pipes. 

The GAC GM8 is fitted with an independent strut suspension set-up. Steering is responsive and ride quality is top-notch. The seven-seater minivan handles well in city conditions and on highways. 

Power on the GAC GM8 is drawn by a 2.0-litre, turbocharged, four-cylinder, in-line engine tuned to make 199 hp and 320 Nm torque. A six-speed automatic transmission is paired to the turbocharged unit for transmitting power to the front wheels. 

Force to retard speed is drawn by disc units at both ends. As for the safety suite, it packs a plethora of active and passive safety tech. Features such as adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, and forward-collision warning assist drivers keep potential dangers at bay. It also benefits from tyre pressure monitoring system, electronic parking brake with autohold, automatic parking system, lane departure warning. With six airbags aboard and double pretensioner safety belt at front, the seven-seater minivan is well equipped to avert any major injuries during an untoward event.
