Jetour Dashing

The Jetour Dashing has a clean and contemporary layout for its cabin, with the dashboard here having a multi-layered design. The cabin feels luxurious with soft-touch black plastics at the top and a textured bronze layer in the middle, while having a leatherette finish at the bottom. A dual-tone black and white theme is standard for the cabin of the Jetour Dashing. 

The driver’s cockpit of the Jetour Dashing has a unique-looking two-spoke multi-functional steering wheel. Featuring gloss black themes for the spokes, this tilt, and telescopic adjustable steering wheel has an octagonal centre boss and a full-TFT screen for the instrument console behind it.

The centre console of the Jetour Dashing is dominated by a 12.8-inch rectangular touchscreen infotainment system, while the lower centre console has trapezoidal AC vents. The controls for the dual-zone automatic climate control are integrated into the touchscreen infotainment system. The floor centre console here has a stubby transmission lever with a satin silver finish and also features a wireless charging pad and an electronic parking brake switch.

Being a modern SUV, the Jetour Dashing takes care of occupants with its trendy set of features, including electronically adjustable, heated, and ventilated front seats, memory function, and height adjustability for the driver’s seat, front and rear centre armrests, 60:40 split rear seats, ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, a powered tailgate, and a 6-speaker audio system. 

The Jetour Dashing has an aggressive design language at both front and rear, which along with the tall bonnet and curvaceous side profile, gives it a striking stance. The front fascia of the Dashing has an imposing look, with the wide grille having a segmented design with gloss black inserts. The Jetour Dashing has split headlamps to the sides of the grille, with LED DRL strips placed above and sharp-looking all-LED headlamps placed below.

The Jetour Dashing's side profile is smooth and contoured, and the premium-looking 20-inch machined alloy wheels further elevate the SUV's stance. The wishbone-shaped LED tail lamp clusters look striking, too, and they complement the SUV's trendy overall design. These combination tail lamps are placed horizontally, and the SUV also has a dramatically raked rear windscreen.

The Jetour Dashing has an independent suspension setup at both ends, which includes Macpherson struts at the front and multi-link at the rear. The suspension setup has a softer tune that results in a plush and comfortable ride quality at all speeds. This Chinese SUV gets three driving modes – Economy, Comfort and Sport – which make the driving experience even more fine-tuned.  

Like in most of the other markets where it is available, the Philippines-spec Jetour Dashing is being offered with the combination of a 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine and a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission under its hood. This 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine generates a maximum power output of 156 PS, while the maximum torque output is rated at 230 Nm. This engine feels refined but suffers from a noticeable turbo lag at lower speeds. 

The safety net of the Jetour Dashing is decently long, with the SUV having modern features like adaptive cruise control, door open warning, lane change warning, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic assist, 360-degree panoramic visual parking assist, and tyre pressure monitoring system. The other must-haves in the Dashing are six airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, traction control, hill start assist, hill descent control, and reverse parking sensors. 

Besides its attractive design and fancy features, which give it a trendy appeal, the Jetour Dashing has a decently powerful powertrain and chassis that has been tuned to deliver a supple ride quality in the urban environment.
