The Li Auto L9 gets Nappa leather upholstery throughout all three rows, with spa-grade comfort foam cushioning. The front-row and second-row seats include electric adjustment, heating, ventilation, and advanced massage. The second row gets luxury features like captain's seats with electric legrest, fold-down tray table, and fridge/heater compartment. The third row is also heated, and electrically adjustable, though massage is not available. The three-row entertainment comprises a 15.7-inch OLED that flips down in the rear for streaming with Dolby Atmos 7.3.4 spatial audio and a 21-speaker, 2,160W system. The gesture and voice control system offers an intuitive, family-friendly interface. The multimedia system is responsive and fluid, powered by dual Snapdragon 8155 chips, supporting 5G SIM redundancy. Climate control and cabin refinement includes a tri-zone air-conditioning system, PM2.5 filtration, fragrance diffusion, soundproof double-glazed glass, and panoramic sunroof. Ambient lighting comprises customizable 256-color LED strips in door panels that’s ideal for a relaxed cabin vibe. The car comes with a steering wheel-mounted mini-screen for quick glance info like trip stats, speed, and range toggle.

The Li Auto L9 is a full-size SUV that closely matches the likes of similar German and American cars. Up front, there's a 2 m+ continuous LED ‘Halo Bar’ daytime running light (DRL) strip across the bonnet. Split-type LED headlights sit lower, integrated into the bumper, while the upper strip provides a sleek, EV-like front-end. The rear gets a full-width LED light bar similar in concept, albeit in three segments, combined with a hidden spoiler wiper. Flush pop-out door handles maintain a sleek surface. The side windows get a chrome trim for added luxury. The subtle roofline slope, greenhouse proportions (window-to-body ratio), and aero-designed 20–21-inch wheels lend a super-premium vibe. The clean front fascia has a grille-free upper section and features a practical lower air dam to cool battery components.

The L9’s air suspension combined with continuous damping control (CDC) offers a supremely cushioned ride. In the R-Comfort mode, the ride comfort is pillow-type like ultra-luxury SUVs. On poorly maintained roads, the CDC softens the blow effectively, handling bumps and gravel with minimal impact to occupants. Equipped with dual-chamber air springs and Tenneco’s Monroe CVSAe dampers, the Li Auto L9 continuously adjusts damping in milliseconds for precise comfort control. Engine and road noise are well suppressed. The range-extender engine is barely audible under normal driving and much quieter than its rivals. On rough roads, the SUV can navigate gravel, potholes, and even shallow water crossings with composure, aided by the air suspension’s adjustability.

The Li Auto L9 is equipped with a turbocharged, four-cylinder, 1.5-liter petrol engine. It serves exclusively as a generator for the dual electric motors, and not driving the wheels directly. It’s a purely a series-hybrid configuration. Power is derived from a 52.8 kWh ternary lithium battery pack, with a combined range of 1,000km. The Li Auto L9 produces 450PS/620Nm. The twin-motor configuration delivers smooth and unobtrusive power, while the engine occasionally introduces mild noise/vibe under load but remains mostly quiet.

The Li Auto L9 gets 8MP cameras plus five 2MP cameras that create a comprehensive, 360-degre visual awareness system. Two front 8MP cameras capture up to 550m ahead within a 120-degree field, critical for high-speed detection. A rooftop-mounted 128-line Hesai LiDAR combines high resolution (1.5M points/sec) and long range that’s essential for nighttime and low-visibility object detection. The SUV comes with multiple airbags.
