Li Auto L7

The cabin of the Li Auto L7’s seats are wrapped in premium Nappa leather, sourced from imported cowhide, offering a soft, smooth texture. Behind the fine leather is 3D comfort sponge, enhancing both comfort and support. The first-row seats offer heating, ventilation, and lumbar massage. The second-row seats gets all that along with electric adjustment, and electric footrest in the Max and Ultra trims. The right-side second-row seat transforms into a ‘Queen Seat’ with a simple button press. It gets backrest reclining function and a 270-degree wrap design for deep comfort. Second-row legroom stretches up to 1,160 mm, with nearly a meter of headroom. The Li Auto L7 gets three 15.7-inch 3K touchscreen units that comprise a dual front (driver and front-passenger) plus a ceiling-mounted rear screen (on Max and Ultra versions), all with low-reflective coating and low-blue-light tech. The infotainment unit is connected to a 7.3.4 Dolby Atmos surround system with up to 21 speakers. The car comes with a panoramic sunroof with powered shade, double-layered, silver-plated, heat-insulating windshield and acoustic glass. There’s a tri-zone climate control. The car gets rear air-conditioning vents, air purifier, PM2.5 monitor, and an optional fragrance system.

The L7 embraces Li Auto's signature minimalistic yet futuristic aesthetic. It gets clean surfaces, restrained ornamentation, and a sleek silhouette. A striking 3D halo-illuminated star-ring light spans the front grille area, pairing with sharp matrix-LED headlights for a tech-forward visage. The semi-closed intelligent grille merges eco-consciousness with visual flair and sleekness. The coupe-like roofline flows smoothly from A-pillar to the tail, reinforced by robust character lines and strong fender arches. Hidden chrome door handles and optional 21-inch wheels enhance the dynamic presence. The rear adopts a rounded, minimalist design featuring full-width LED taillight bar and integrated spoiler. The lower bumper in contrasting trim adds definition and visual depth.

The air suspension system of the Li Auto L7 comprises of dual-chamber air springs, continuous damping control (CDC), and five adjustable ride heights with Comfort, Standard, and Sport modes. At low speeds and over small road imperfections, the air suspension absorbs bumps gracefully, with minimal aftershocks. The intelligent, adaptive setup automatically adjusts ride height and damping based on speed and conditions, yielding a smooth, cushioned ride in urban driving and highway cruising. Although low-speed comfort is strong, at higher speeds the suspension feels firmer and more planted. It’s sometimes even a bit harsh over large bump. Noise from the road (particularly tire noise on Pirelli P0s) is audible, though the suspension isolates bumps well.

The Li Auto L7 is equipped with a turbocharged, four-cylinder, 1.5-liter petrol engine. It serves exclusively as a generator, not driving the wheels directly. It’s a purely a series-hybrid configuration. Power is derived from a 42.8 kWh ternary lithium battery pack, with a combined range of 1,000km. The Li Auto L7 produces 449PS/620Nm. The acceleration is quick, almost like an electric vehicle off the line, courtesy the strong low-end torque and full-time AWD.

The Li Auto L7 is equipped with 10–11 full high-def cameras covering front, sides, rear, and 360-degree surround view, including transparent chassis. These feed visual data for driver-assist functions like lane keeping, lane-changing, pedestrian/cyclist detection, and rear cross-traffic alert. A roof-mounted Hesai AT128 LiDAR provides moderate-range detection. 12 ultrasonic sensors support parking assistance, blind-spot detection, and low-speed manoeuvres.

The Li Auto L7 manages to strike a compelling balance between luxury, practicality, and innovation. With its extended range, spacious cabin, and refined ride quality, the car caters to families and tech-savvy drivers alike. While it may not be the most thrilling performer, the smart hybrid powertrain and premium features make it a standout in its segment.
