SERES 7

There are three upholstery options available for the Seres 7 cabin: black, beige, and camel. The black upholstery version has a dark stone-themed layer for the dashboard and door panel inserts, while the Beige and Camel themes have a faux wood finish in their place.

The cabin of the Seres 7 has a nice tech-laden feel, with the 10.25-inch full-TFT instrument console behind the two-spoke multi-functional heated steering wheel and a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system making the interior feel new-age. The high-mounted transmission tunnel of the Seres 7 has a concealed compartment at the front with cup holders and a wireless charging pad below it, while the transmission lever has gloss black surrounds. 

The Seres 7's cabin is feature-loaded with kit, including a panoramic sunroof, Nappa leather seats, three-zone automatic climate control with rear AC vents, 12-way powered front seats, 8-way powered rear seats (in the 6-seater version), ventilated front and second-row seats with massage function, a powered tailgate, a premium sound system, and more. 

The Seres 7's overall stance and silhouette are inspired by premium German SUVs, which gives it an excellent proportionate look. At the front, the Seres 7 has a simplistic design with a sleek trapezoidal grille across the width of the front fascia, with a chrome garnish strip in its upper housing. This chrome strip joins the trapezoidal headlamps on either side with dual LED projectors and DRLs.

The front bumper of the Seres 7 has a massive air dam with horizontal slats across its width, with C-shaped vertical curtains on the sides. The Seres 7 has a nice upright stance from the side, with the 20-inch machined alloy wheels in the Comfort and 21-inch machined alloy wheels in the Premium variant further elevating its stance. At the rear, the Seres 7 looks heavily inspired by the Lexus SUVs, with the wide LED combination tail lamps having a connected LED light bar between them, and the boot lid has a trapezoidal license plate housing just below the LED light bar. 

The Seres 7's suspension setup, which comprises an independent double wishbone at the front and an independent trapezoidal multi-link at the rear, is optimised for comfortable ride quality, with the ride feeling settled even at higher RPMs. While the four driving modes and advanced all-wheel drive in dual-motor variants make the straight-line stability feel even more composed, we do wish that the steering feedback could have been better. 

Both Seres 7 variants share a 1.5-litre petrol-electric hybrid powertrain with the Seres 5. The Comfort variant has a rear-mounted electric motor, which generates 266.4 PS of maximum power and 354 Nm of maximum power. Meanwhile, the Premium variant has a dual-motor setup, which claims 439 PS of maximum power and 654 Nm of maximum torque. 

In both the variants, the motor setups are paired with a 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine (115.5 PS and 190 Nm) and a 40kWh lithium-ion battery, which delivers a pure electric range of 166 km in the Comfort variant and 162 km in the Premium variant. In the hybrid version, the motor setup is the primary power source. 

The comprehensive suite of Level-2 ADAS features available in the Seres 7 as standard include lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, lane cruise assist, forward collision warning, blind spot monitoring system, door opening warning, auto parking assist, lane change assist, rear interspersed warning and vehicle to load. The Seres 7 also has a few other safety features like six airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, electronic stability control, 360-degree parking camera, front and rear parking sensors, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.

The Seres 5 offers an exhilarating performance in all three versions on sale while on the go. While its driving dynamics feel artificial, the Seres 5 positions itself as a technically advanced electric vehicle with a high feature and novelty factor.
