The Land Cruiser 200 is the longest-running vehicle from the Japanese manufacturer in the Philippines market. It was introduced in the 1950 and generations have passed since the model has established a name of its own. Earlier this year, this model received a facelifted version and is now available in four colour options including Pearl White Crystal Shine, Silver Metallic, Attitude Black Mica, and Grey Metallic.
The full-sized SUV is hauled by an 8-cylinder, twin-turbocharged 4.5-litre diesel engine which outputs 232 PS maximum power and 615 Nm peak torque. The motor is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. Major features of the Toyota Land Cruiser 200 include vehicle stability control, traction control, hill-climb assist, and multiple terrain select, keyless entry, and an infotainment system with Bluetooth support and 6 speakers. The car is available in two variants and the entry-level is priced at PHP 4.57 million. Toyota Land Cruiser 200 lock horns with many models from the European and American markets, but there is something special about the Japanese Land Cruiser 200 which is why it has managed to gain widespread popularity.
The widespread popularity that Toyota Land Cruiser 200 has gained, itself speaks that it must house an exciting package of the interior aesthetics. As you get inside the Land Cruiser, you see a mesmerizing layout, packed with ultimate functional design. Firstly, the most essential feature that you notice while getting inside the car are the climbing handles mounted on all the doors, so that the occupants can easily climb the cabin. As you get inside the cabin, you see leather seats in premium quality upholstery, which gives an altogether plush feel to the cabin. The steering wheel is also wrapped in good quality leather and behind the wheel lies an instrument cluster with tachometer and speedometer for all the requisite information. The overall look of the dashboard is extremely intuitive and marks a top-level in the style quotient.
The front seats are electrically adjustable offering utmost comfort to the driver and the passenger. Also, the seats have ventilated heating function depending upon the outside climate, thus, comfort and convenience are the two things that go with you while you are on road.
Coming to the centre-instrument console, we see an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and compass features. The eight passenger-seating allows you to travel with the most important people in your life. Every passenger row has separate AC vents and dual-zone climate control.
The Toyota Land Cruiser that was brought to the world in 1950 had a timeless design which is why the facelifted Land Cruiser 200 also carries more or less the same outlines. Though the overall fascia has undergone a significant makeover, the underlying silhouette has the same recognisable beauty. Talking about the front fascia, it dons the bold chrome grille which goes on to seamlessly meet the headlights. The headlamps have LED projectors, illuminating your on-road journeys. The lower side of the front bumper also has chrome projections with fog lights neatly placed on either side.
Coming to the side profile of the SUV we see nicely contoured curves all over the body silhouette. Also, very prominently noticeable from the sides are the huge alloy wheels the SUV is riding on. The rear profile looks quite dated with some conventional designs and tail-lights, however, the exhaust pipe is tied under the hook this time which was otherwise popped out.
Dimensions wise, the Land Cruiser 200 measures 5,170 x 1,980 x 1,945 mm for the length, width, and height and it looks massive with a wheelbase of around 2850mm.
The suspension duties in Land Cruiser 200 are handled by MacPherson struts in the front and a leaf spring at the rear. This set up performs the dual function of offering stability at top speeds and also offers the rugged terrain journey The SUV rides on massive 18-inch alloy wheels for a smoothest and pleasurable journey. Keeping in mind the bulkiness of the SUV, the braking duties are also handled by 18-inch to allow a complete grip to the driver and stop this hulky SUV with ease.
Under the bonnet of Land Cruiser 200 lies a 4.5-litre turbodiesel mill. This V8 engine churns a maximum 232 PS of power and 615 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission and sends power to the rear wheels. Toyota has updated the motor to Euro IV standards which are expected to meet the next round of compliant norms. The engine is refined enough to deliver a mileage of 4 kmpl while out on the roads.
Toyota Land Cruiser 200 comes equipped with basic safety features including seven airbags though, ABS with EBD, traction control as well as ESP, and Hill Hold/Descent Assist. The sensors are also present at the front and the rear. The facelifted version is expected to have the modern safety features like Blind Spot Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert.

It can traverse through the roughest and most challenging terrains with ease. With a set of advanced driver-assist and safety features, The Land Cruiser 200 is worth the price.
I think Land Cruiser is the bulkiest SUVs Toyota has so far. Even though the car is super tough and robust, I am not impressed by the way the exterior has been designed. The front wide grille and the headlamps look like stuffed which somehow demean the beauty according to my opinion. I can’t say the same about the interior
This car has all the positive traits that can make your life all the more refreshing. Say size wise the car is massive and comfort wise the car is unparalleled. Toyota Land Cruiser 200 is one among the most popular eight-seaters currently selling in the market in the Philippines. It not only looks stylish from the outside but also the inside. It gets premium seats and other luxury features. Even if others do not like it but I am very fond of the old school design as it looks muscular
If you are seeking a big sized four wheel driving car then you should explore this out. Though city cruising on this car may appear to be somewhat troublesome at times since this is quite a big sized vehicle. Though for off road touring, this is indeed a great option. This large SUV is high on demand these days inspite
Toyota Land Cruiser is more of an icon in the premium SUV range rather than just a big SUV. It has a very grand presence that a lot of people fall for, including me. There were multiple reasons why I decided to go for it - design, power, comfort, and accommodation. The Land Cruiser is an 8 seater car and

When I was growing up, the Land Cruiser was one of my bedroom poster cars and I always wanted to own one when I grew up. After several decades, that dream became a reality. I just love it! It's pure 4x4 luxury, I was not expecting something like this from Toyota. I feel it is on par with luxury brands.
My wife gifted me my dream car the Toyota Land cruiser 200 for my 40th birthday. The black glistening beauty in my porch took my breath away the moment I saw it. Behind the wheels this car is as comfortable as it can get. The high seats provide me with good visibility of the road which many SUV’s falter in.
From my early childhood days, the road always intimidated me. I loved traveling in the rugged roads and exploring new places and scenic beauty. It felt so serene and as if the roads have answers to everything. So, I took up the job of a traveler when I grew up. Along with my profession, it was my passion and something
