Honda CUV e:

For starters, the Honda CUV e measures 1,970 mm in length, 664 mm in width, 1,101 mm in overall height, and 761 mm in seat height. This scooter also comes with a 1,310-mm wheelbase and a 143-mm ground clearance.

The Honda CUV e features a futuristic design that looks confident and elegant at the same time. It sports a curved LED headlight assembly with LED signal lights, giving it a unique-looking flare at night. 

Upfront, the rider gets a 5-inch TFT LCD instrument panel that displays the riding modes, battery meter, among others, while also offering connectivity and navigation features. It comes with a side pocket for small items and a USB Type-C socket for your phone. Its dual-stepped seat offers decent cushioning and ergonomics for both the rider and the pillion. The two Honda Mobile Power Pack e: batteries are placed underneath the seat.  And, for added convenience, it already has a built-in rear carrier, which can also function as your passenger’s grab handle when filtering through traffic at low speeds.

Going back to design. This scooter features a two-toned side profile, complemented by a “CUV e:” emblem and sporty-looking 12-inch cast wheels wrapped in tubeless tyres. At the back, its unique-looking LED tail light also exudes a smart, futuristic vibe similar to its headlight.

In terms of suspension, the Honda CUV e is equipped with Telescopic Forks at the front and a Single Shock Absorber at the rear. This electric scooter is light and nimble, making it easy to maneuver through crowded areas and bumper-to-bumper traffic in the city. It also offers decent handling on sharp turns and twists. However, bumps are quite noticeable when you are riding this scooter. That said, it is best to avoid roads with large humps and deep potholes. At the end of the day, the CUV e can still deliver a smooth and satisfying riding experience within the Metro.

The CUV e runs on Honda’s E-Drive Side Motor that produces 6 kW (8 hp) of maximum power and 22 Nm of maximum torque. It is powered by two swappable Honda Mobile Power Pack e:lithium-ion batteries (capacity: 26.1 Ah x 2), offering a WMTC range of 77.3 km. This scooter is also equipped with three riding modes: Standard, Econ, and Sports.

The CUV e is surprisingly quite zippy off the line. It might not be the fastest electric scooter in the local market, but it is no slouch either. It feels smooth at high speeds while remaining refined in stop-and-go traffic. One of its main downsides, however, is its limited range for longer trips. But, on the plus side, its electric motor offers great energy efficiency even in mixed conditions.

The Honda CUV e comes with a front hydraulic disc brake and a rear mechanical leading trailing drum brake. Its braking setup is supported by Honda’s Combined Brake System. It is also equipped with an easy reverse assist and a smart key system, which prevents unauthorized starting.
